Was out to several WM's 2 nights ago; saw some GIJoe 25th anniversary wave 2 cases on pallets.
Opened some... thought the Lady Jaye looked pretty cool and the cobra emperor. Most stores only got in 1 case while 1 store got 2 cases in. They seem to only ship once per wave.

The WM's have 4 pegs for them but they're always empty; as soon as they hit the store they're ebayed. Sure these were too.

There was lead in his paint.

As for the AT-ST, I wouldn't be surprised if this is just Hasbro making money of that sculpt one last time before looking at a newer, taller design.

I have a feeling that Hasbro was doing the same thing with the Shadow Scout's Speederbike before a new tool is made.

Good point, so on that note I wonder if this wasn't the last time....will they release a 'jungle camo' or 'shadow' AT-ST next before the next proper scale redo/resculpt?

I'd nab a bantha set for cheap if I saw one, regardless of color ont he sand folk.

Same here.

Anthony, remember that TRU in Arcadia by our meeting place? If they ever clearanced out their ****load of Banthas I'd search there first. When Mac and I went in there, it looked like at least 30-40 of them up on top
of the SW isle.

After scalpers getting all these wave 1 25th at my retailers; I finally seen 4 out 5 of wave 1 at my base exchange(BX) store. They are very well painted and articulated. To me they seemed superior to Hasbro SW figures in many ways --and sooo much cheaper, oh well..

Lotsa big games next week...

1 especially comes to mind ::)

-are you ready Jesse?

DS

I'm dandy...  The question is which of the teams is ready?  I'm guessing my Steelers were chomping at the bit Sunday for next week's game. :)

Sigh* agreed....I wish we had last years' offense to go with this years D- then, the game would have been really hyped up...oh well( I mainly wish we had last years O coordinator-it seems he's good at that only-never been good as a head coach- and doesn't look it now.....)

Our figures certainly aren't going up to 8$ with a 10% increase.

Let's see, here in MN:

Target price = $6.99
Tax = 6.5% = $0.45
Final Price = $7.44

+10% increase = $7.69
Tax = 6.5% = $0.50
Final Price = $8.19

Seems like an $8 figure to me... am I missing something? ???

10% doesn't seem like much, but if you buy 100 figures in a year, it's an extra $75.

Yes some.
You're numbers are based on SW collectors doing their shopping at Target...which I mostly don't(I realize Target is 'big' up there-and your WM's suck and never have anything-based on what I've read from your posters up there).

Additionally, I wasn't including taxes-because they were never mentioned.

I won't notice the increase since I typically get a gas tax refund of between 125$ to 200$ annually anyway, so I'm really not panicking much.

EDIT: My math was incorrect, our sales tax is 8%, not 10%! SO after tax from buying a 10% price increase figure at WM our price should be $7.87 ;)

This issue should be raised in one of the Hasbro Q&As.

Agreed

Hmm, then how are getting figs are going so high again...?

I don't understand this post for some reason.  Jon?

I know, it's probably because I sucked at it. My bad...

Basically, what I was saying was a 10% increase really doesn't amount to much price increase...Our figures certainly aren't going up to 8$ with a 10% increase. I guess I could understand if a figure was 100$ for example and had a 10% increase so now it's 110$- but we're nowhere near that situation yet. So... I'm not panicking.

San Fran pretenders??

Most overrated/lucky 2-0 team?

--hard to argue; I'm beside myself how a team gets under 200 yards 2 weeks in a row, out gained and out time of possession- and wins :-\ ?

Anyway who-hoo Niners!!
