Kubricks / Series 5

Well, if you look at the way the Unleashed figures acted, I guess you can say the same.  We were told they were pretty much finished, and prices came down a little, most noticeably was yoda, but then went right up. Yoda dropped from around  $100 to about $60 and has gone back up to $75 or so. I think most stayed the same. Fett is just plain expensive, and never came down.

Hey DSJ, I just happened to run across this 400% Jack fig on ebay and the way he is made is similar to that Darth Vader and Stormtrooper that you have posted above. Says its by Yujun or something like that. It has the same hands as those you are looking at. Its a start anyways! ;D

Pardon me for being dense on the Logray thing (don't care for ewoks either), but why is it that the are faked so easy??  The wicket and paploo I have don't really look like him. Can anyone explain??  Do they make them from their own molds?

DSJ, nice set up. Definetly a great series. Land Skiff would be great, along with maybe a Weequay.

Everyone watching the first Blue Snag go on E-bay????

Vintage Kenner / SEALED vintage items
« on: November 29, 2005, 12:33 AM »
I have been thinking alot about this lately and posted a little in the Vintage vs. Modern thread.  Over the last, it seems, five years I have been seeing less and less sealed vintage items. Yes there is some out there, but not like it used to be.  I remember when I was around 16 or so, Ebay was just getting going, that there was sealed stuff everywhere. In fact I think it actually went lower than opened stuff because everyone wanted to diplay there toys.

I know things dissapear over time, but it just seems fast to me.  I have talked to a few "big" collectors and they some is due to fire or flooding, but most is because the people that grew up at the time now have big money and want to collect things from the past. I guess the whole mid-life crisis thing. These people buy this stuff for there collections, and thats it, they never trade of sell it off. They just accumulate.

Anyways what do you  guys think, is sealed vintage getting alot harder to find or is it just me??
