Watto's Junk Yard / Re: If you had 5 Million Dollars...

I'd corner the Neimodian market, like the Hunt brothers did silver several years ago.  Then moms and dads of Lushros Dofine starved kids would have to pay me!!!

Cocoa puffs?

I was thinking more along the lines of Cream of Wheat.  ;D

The hardest part of all this is that my local store (yes, only one local store  ::) ) doesn't carry Titanium, so I can't check them out myself.

One store, where do you live?  Middle of nowhere Canada? ;)

Hey Jesse,

First Walmart Gift pack had:

Anakin's Jedi Starfighter, Republic Gunship (green), Droid Tri-Fighter, Obi Wan's Jedi Starfighter, and AT-RT (raw metal)

If you want, you can update something in the 2nd gift pack.  The Swamp Speeder is (green) where the original was red.

And in the third gift pack, the Y-wing is a variant color (blue?) and I think the x-wing is also a repaint.  Haven't found the sucker yet, so that's based on pictures.

LEGO / Re: Hole. E. ****.

I was surprised that there were no bids in the last 18 hours or so of the auction.  I guess not a lot of people trying to swoop on a $30K item!

Interesting to check out the winner, mikek818. Looking at his feedback, he's a buyer of customs and a seller of the GTA San Andreas Hot Coffee mod. Must be some good money in pixel sex!

Original Trilogy Collection / Re: Carded Wedge, finally!

Mike sells on eBay under a store called  A&R Computer World and claims to be a Hasbro dealer.  I first heard about him on Yodasnews.com, he seems to have an advertising relationship with them.

I know how you feel.  I jumped on them when they were $13.99 each + 7.49 shipping (for 2 figures).

I just checked his eBay store and they are still $13.99, but shipping USPS Priority mail to the lower 48 is FREE, so this might beat his $8.99 website special if you buy in quantity.   93 left.

It's available now at Entertainment Earth.com incase you haven't gotten in on this yet.

It's available cheaper (US$8.99) at Razor's Edge Collectibles.  I got mine from Mike there (of course, before he put the damn thing on sale!) and service, communication, and shipping was excellent.  Only down side is it did not come in a star case.

Shipping across US (NY to WA) via USPS Priority Mail was US$7.49.  Shipment to the Great White North may vary.

LEGO / Re: Target Exclusive RotS Ultimate Space Battle
« on: December 10, 2005, 09:37 PM »
Yep, sold out at lego.com, no more coming to lego brick/mortar stores.  Didn't even want the thing ($50 for Obi red ship is too much) until I saw how fast it sold out.  The Target near my house had 10 left this week so I grabbed the nicest box.

What pisses me off is they no longer offer the new V-wing by itself.  My 2006 wish list included the B-wing, V-wing, and TIE Interceptor, and now I can't get the V-wing without spending north of $40. >:(

Disturbing this trend is.  I searched Bricklink looking for the pieces to turn an Anikan yellow ship into an Obi red ship (15 dark red pieces or so) but couldn't find hexagonal wings or the R4 unit available.

Newbies / Hello
« on: November 7, 2005, 12:53 PM »
Hi all,

MaxWedge (Jim) here.  Yet another convert of JoshEEE's recommendation.  Pretty new to BBoard posting although I'm (nearly) 40, so I may not have the hang of all the technical details.  Perhaps my 5 years of engineering school will help me get up to speed.  I'm east of Seattle in Woodinville (come for the wine, stay so you don't get a DUI).  My dad took me to see Ep. 4 when I was 11, waited in line for 4 hours at the Cine Capri in PHX.  By that time I had already read the paperpack 10 ten times.  I like collecting for me and my 5 year old son.  Funny story, my father-in-law took my son shopping yesterday at Fred Meyer for some tools, and my son comes home with the blue clone 3-pack (the only color I'm missing).  To get it from him I had to trade hin a box of the Walmart ROTS DVD clone 3-pack.  It's nice to be able to share SW with my son, the way my dad did with me.  Now if I just had the SW toys from my childhood!
