Blackhawks are playing with so many people from their farm team (Ice Hogs) that I think I'm going to refer to them as either the Blackhogs or the Icehawks until their starting line-ups are back.  Thankfully they squeaked out a fin llast night in Calgary.  Still can't believe they went to the box that many times and won...  Couple back to back games coming up in the next two weeks.  I'm just hopeful they can go at least 0.500 during the circus trip.  Fingers crossed!

Goodness me, but does my team ever suck.

They were obviously good enough to beat my team, the likes of whom have had their own suck-fest going on for long enough.  They need to get back on track here soon.

I seriously wish that all the Marvel Universe characters were in the same movie studios.  I know it will never happen, but I would love to see Spidey and the X-Men together with the Avengers...

I'm not really familiar with the storyline, but am happy to hear that there will be a very familiar MCU character in the movie along with Cap.

Sounds like Ghostbusters is finally getting the reboot treatment with an all female cast:

I would love to see Melissa McCarthy in this.  I think she'd be a riot.

Agreed, they overdid it with that edit technique.  I get that it's a hallmark of sorts of the films, but for some reason it wasn't nearly as often or jumpy in the OT.  Maybe it was just a lot of location hopping in the PT compared to the OT?

I couldn't agree more Jesse.  That was one of the things I hated the most from the PT compared to the OT.  Every wipe had to be a different shape or direction.  Very annoying to watch...

Watched this this morning with the boys.  Love all the throwback designs that are making their way into this show.  I agree with others about the human/alien animation being subpar compared to TCW, but the ships and locations more than make up for it.  The boys are very excited about this series especially since TCW is no longer on.  Can't wait to see where this goes...

I'm with you Jeff, I'm seriously considering going dark over the next year.  I liked seeing some of the footage of the ships and locations and knowing who the cast members are going to be, but I think I'm going to stay away from the plot details from here on out.  I'll catch the trailers once they start to come out, but that will probably be the extent of it.

Also, Fitz and his nature now.  Surprising that Simmons left SHIELD, but as of yet, we don't know the reason.

Well it looks like you're going to get your wish next week.  I have to admit, the Fitz story line is going to get really old really fast if it continues this way.  I was already annoyed 5 minutes into the second episode.

They've definitely kicked it up with the first two episodes this season.  Glad to see them using more effects.  I'm looking forward to some more movie tie-ins and comic book characters as the season progresses.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: WiiU

Thanks guys.  The boys have never really been big fans of the Nintendo 1st Party games (Mario Cart not withstanding). They have mainly stuck with the Lego games and Infinity over the last year or so.  Knowing that both are available on another platform makes me think I'm done with Nintendo.  Well that, getting confirmation that playing the old Wii games on the WiiU is a bit of a hassle, and that WiiU might be the nail in the coffin for them.  I think I'm going to go a different route when we upgrade.  Now it's just a matter of deciding whether to go Playstation or XBox.  I used to own a PS1 back in the day so I'm thinking about going back to that again.

Need to resurrect this thread with a question for you guys.

We've had a Wii for years now, but they are not releasing Disney Infinity 2.0 on this platform, so my sons are pretty upset that they can't play it.  Does anyone currently own a Wii U?  If you do, can you explain what the deal is with the controller and the fact that you can only have one of them per system and need to get a standard controller(s) for multi-player games?  Is it really worth it to upgrade to this system vs. getting a PS4 or XBox One?  Our Wii is working fine, so they can still play the games they own on this system.  It's just a matter of whether we want to have two different systems in the house, or get the Wii U and be able to play all of our game.

Any help you guys can provide is appreciated.

Congrats Dressel!

And a fine job all around by everybody putting that Dutchman in his place.

I reminded him every day at work that he was in dead last...

Perfect, thanks McMetal!  Hopefully they will be released by Christmas; the past seasons have made perfect stocking stuffers for my kids.
