Got my set plus the common chase in this week.  I think they look really good.  I've also got the all gray chase coming in a few weeks, but wanted to post a pic of the first 7 in their shiny cases.  =)

I've seen more of that all gray/blue variant than I have of the colored one with the rocket.  I think the colored/rocket one may be harder to get, although to me it's the less desirable of the two, since it looks identical to the regular version from the front.

You're on a roll.  Open the others quick, don't waste that lucky streak.   :)

Did everyone else think/know these were sculpts only, or thought they were actual working rockets?  I sure thought they were functional when I first saw the pics.  But if they aren't, that's probably better, since there won't be a separate rocket part to lose.

For the two variants with rockets and slots, do we know yet if they are actually working firing rockets; i.e., do they have internal springs, separate rocket parts, and the tabs work to launch the rocket, or, are they all one solid piece and are just sculpted to look like that?

Yep, both Grievouses fit in standard Medicom cases for me.  Just barely, and the footpegs are kind of a problem, I may have to file those off, but they do fit.

Will the chases be carded as well, or will they only be found in the boxes?

The Hoth version of Chewbacca in this set makes more sense now, with the recent announcement of the Deluxe Hoth series.  Can't wait to get both sets.

I'd be all for a reissues of the figures that originally came with paper costumes: orignal Leia in white dress, and those ROTJ figures (not part of ANH, I know), of Luke and Leia on the speederbikes, replacing the paper with plastic costume parts.

Eh, a build-an-AT-AT would have been better.  But would require more figures.  =)  Thanks for the info.

Or a snowspeeder.  Yeah, that would have been cool, and not a whole lot larger either.

I think this is that 2-pack:

I don't mind an AT-ST at all, I think it's pretty cool, but were there AT-ST's on Hoth?  Or in ESB at all?  Thought they were only in ROTJ.  Not a big deal I suppose since they're already doing a Jabba with the ROTJ wave.

Would a Wampa be too small for a build-a-figure?  I also vote for a landspeeder.  Or a Bantha.  =)

Also, that new Hoth Han looks like he has his goggles down.  I think this is the difference between this new one and the old one, which has his goggle up.

Kubricks / Re: 400% C-3PO

Do you think sellers read these threads and see what we, the buyers, think the price will be, and then set their prices accordingly?  Someone speculated about the Parco Vader as "going to go for at least $300", then one appeared on ebay for a BIN of exactly $300.  They'd be silly not to do this, since we wouldn't be completely surprised by the starting price, that's what we guessed it to be, so we may be more likely to buy it at that price.

I cringe when I see people quoting high prices on items not yet released like this, partly for this reason.  I do think this figure will be highly sought after, I'm going to try to find one and I don't yet own any 400%ers (but I have all currently released SW kubs, except for the Jawa chase), but do you think we may actually be hurting ourselves by telegraphing our expectations on price like this?

"I don't see this figure selling for more than $90 or so."   (Let's see if this works... =)

If we get re-releases of these guys, I'd like to get a shiny C3PO like the new 400% one.  Not sure we need another R2, but if so, how about a muddy swampy deco?

The R2 looks like he has sandy feet, as mentioned somewhere previously, but are there any noticeable differences on the C3PO?  I suppose he could be sandy as well, but that'd be hard to telll.

Also, here's a pic I found that might be that white arm that's cutoff to the left:
