Kubricks / Re: Boba Fett Collection
« on: January 23, 2009, 10:58 PM »
Wow, how did I miss the posts on this set earlier?  I usually don't cave on expensive Kubies, but I may have to make an exception for this one.  Anyone find a source to order from other than Ebay?

These are pretty sweet, but still no affordable enough IMO.  Maybe I'll pick them up cheap when Jeff decides he doesn't want them anymore.   ;)

Oh - looks like a third party (iGear?) will be making an autoscout which will be compatible/same size as the other tapes.

Dude, that Autoscout looks awful.  Seriously, I feel bad for whoever dreamt that up...

Anyone know what Scott is getting in the way of royalties on this release?  I may buy extra if he gets a cut of the profits.   ;)

I saw this exact same thing at my Target.  The Snowtrooper is not in the case it's supposed to be.  It's either late, or maybe as I kind of suspected early on, it will turn in the TLC Hoth wave as a GH fig instead.  Or maybe it's just late.

There are actually a couple different versions of that case.  I think I saw a case on EE that didn't have the snowtrooper and that seems to be the one that's hitting most stores right now.  IF I recall correctly, there are at least two other cases that had the snowy, so hopefully it's just a matter of time before these start showing up.

You were saying?

If you couldn't read what I was saying, go back and re-read my post.  I hope you're not trying to equate my post count, which is primarily among friends in a local collectors group, to your posting in trivial threads like front page news and "What do you drive?"

Nice to see my troll Sprry pop up again too.   :-*

The hell?

I'll wait to see how this pans out but my first reaction is of the incredible amount of stuff that will be converted straight...

And I have it on pretty good authority that no one cares.

Well, someone cares, or they wouldn't keep responding to this stupid ************* thread.

(Pssst:  And that someone I'm talking about is you.)

Wow, I'm flattered that you would take the time to keep checking back here and posting replies for just me!  I mean, I heard from a few others that you have no life outside these boards, but that's still pretty sad.

By saying no one cares, I was referencing several previous posts all essentially demonstrating that no one cares, as well as informing you that I had lost interest in the subject as well.  I guess you can't take a hint, so hopefully this response spells it out clearly enough for you.  Your sad cries for attention have inspired this final response from me, but by all means, continue to live out your dreams in the Front Page News thread.

I think the Deluxe Vehicle will be the Twilight.

I thought this too initially, but I just don't see it happening.  If it has any decent size to it at all, it should be a $100 item.  I bet we end up getting a rereleased shuttle or something much less cool.

Here's some food for thought:

#1 what if there is some sort of reincarnation device on the planet (be it machine or God) that ressurects anything that dies on the planet?  Whatever plan the final five had for ressurection could still be in effect.  Starbuck's Viper somehow interacted with whatever that device was and it rebuilt her (and the ship, since cylon tech may not differentiate between mechanical versus organic), just like it did the final five.

#2 do you think that the planet the Colonial Fleet found is really Earth?  There was a specific line in the premier where someone said the 13th colony found this planet and called it Earth, but maybe they were just trying to recreate someone else's civilization.  Maybe the real Earth is still out there for them to find...?

Thanks and Thanks!  Had a blast tonight - the kids were hilarious.  Apparently even Sideshow remembered my birthday as I got my Captain Antilles in the mail.  Yay!

Back on topic - the front page has new news!  Yay!  Nice scoop on those DPCIs...

I have it on good authority that the guy who left was online at the same time the DPCI story was posted.

And I have it on pretty good authority that no one cares.
