The ? is will Weaver's become protective of the daughter and wil realize that by SN becoming operational will mean the child will most likey die?  Will she become a hero?

I don't think that's the way it will play out, but you never know.  I think she's just using the kid to better understand what drives humanity.  If anything, its going to enable skynet to build better infiltrator termies.

click me for more spoilers.

Wow.  Half of that sounds great and the other half sounds ridiculous.  Bummed to hear that you-know-who will just have a small part in the flick.   :(

The exploding head figure is awesome.

Last year was pretty sweet - I'm in again.

This link has a close up of the screen grab.

Captain America Found in The Incredible Hulk Deleted Scene

Hmmn...I didn't see it at first, but they have a good diagram via the link.  Would have been cool if they had kept this in.

That clip of Watchmen looks amazing - I'm definitely psyched to see it now!

As long as you have the ad with you, you should be able to just show it to them and get the adjustment.  I used it once in a Lawn & Garden checkout, and once at a 20 items or less at the front of the store.  No problems.  You just have to specifically show the price listed in the ad.

Irony is that I've had more trouble getting the people that work at the store the actual ad is for, to do anything for me. :)  KM sucks.

I meant which retailer is letting you ad match.   ;)

Customizing Tips and Tricks / Re: Need some nakedness
« on: October 21, 2008, 11:57 PM »
Anybody out there (who hasnt already got perverted things in their head) got any clue about what figures may exist in 3 3/4" scale that have naked legs that are jointed at the knees?

I am making myself a template figure and it needs to be pretty much naked. I have the EU Anakin with blue tatoos for the torso. I believe i have the VOTC luke (tatooine) arms at home. A naked crotch is easy to come by. I just need a pair of legs that have no clothing on them.

Then i'm gonna need a naked woman as well, but I am working on the naked man template figure first.

I think you should just stick to internet porn and call it a day dude.   ;)

Just a thought though - how about the Ayy Vida figure for your female?

Cashiers should just alter the price at the register, no need to go to CSR desks...  I used it twice tonight and picked up 8 Wave 2 & 3 army builders.

Where did you use it at?  I've never had any luck getting the cashier level person to make these price changes.

I think the inclusion of R2-D2 is actually pretty important to this set.

Why?  I'd rather see a new Ewok or a Rebel Commando given the potential for a different scene.

First, from a pure sales perspective?  Han and R2 are going to help sell this set to the casual buyer.  Mom's and Dad's who are buying for their kids are going to more readily recognize Han & R2.

As for R2's importance to this setting as a whole?  Who was trying to break into the Endor bunker?  It was R2 with Han protecting him.  That gives the set a sense of story, instead of just "good guys vs bad guys".

We know we're getting more Ewoks next year.  Plus the three in the comic packs.  As for an Endor Rebel?  Do you really think that Hasbro would package a really good Endor Rebel into a battle pack?  I don't.  I think they would save a new figure like that for the Basic Figure line.  They'd probably make more money that way since army builders would be more inclined to buy multiples of a basic figure than multiples of battle packs with figures that aren't as well articulated.

I couldn't disagree more.  I'm a dad and have plenty of friends with kids who are into Star Wars.  I don't know of any of them that would buy this for their kids based on Han and R2 being recognizable.  If anything, kids will tell the parents which sets they want and most kids probably have one of a gazillion versions of Han or R2 already.  When I was young, troopers were always the coolest figs after you had your 2nd, 3rd, 4th version of the main characters and I'd bet that most kids feel the same way today.

I think Ewoks, more imperials, a rebel diguised as a Biker Scout - all of these not only align with the "scene" in the set, but would be much more appealing to kids and collectors alike.  Heck, I'd rather have a wounded Leia than another R2 - that scene was better and more meaningful than R2 getting fried.  Repainted ewoks or even the same Ewoks from the Target Ultimate Battle Pack would be more appealing and probably even cheaper to include than a "new" R2.

Don't agree with your comment on Army builders either.  If you put four army building figures into a battle pack, I think they would sell like hot cakes.  Why would an army builder prefer to buy single carded figures at $8 versis BP figures at $5?  The problem is that most BPs don't include Army building figures or force you to buy extras of additional figures you don't want.  Not sure what Battle Pack surplus looks like where you're located, but I'm seeing a ton of leftover Hoth Recon Patrol sets (scene/main character driven) and very few Speeder Bike Recon or Hoth Speeder Bike Patrols - both of which are potential army builders and happen to come with two fewer figures for the same price.

Got my Kenobi in the mail today and he is AWESOME.  Currently my favorite 12" figure of all time.  Amazing detail on the head and the cloth cloak plus armor is so sweet!  Nice to see the little mini Cody holo as well.

Other Toy Lines / Re: What Would Be the Last to Go?

The normal 3 & 3/4 line would be the last.  I could see myself quitting everything else, but that would be the hardest one to drop.

Last night's episode was awesome.  I used to tape the show to watch Football and watch later in the week, but I can't even wait for that now.   :-X

Anyone gonna take this to WM for pricematching by the way?  I'm thinking of giving that a whirl tomorrow actually...  $4.99 figures are a steal.  They should honor that as long as you take the flyer with you.  I know one WM near me has like 12 pegs full of good 30AC figures (army builders and such).  Lots of Legacy too...  May have to go see what I can scoop up there. :)

I thought about that, but seems like a hassle to have to go to the service desk and I'm pretty much caught up anyway.  If anything, I'd buy some Kmart figs and return them to other retailers with old receipts, but even that didn't seem worthwhile.  Maybe I'm just being lazy.
