The Sequel Trilogy / Re: Star Wars Episode IX
« on: September 13, 2017, 12:06 PM »
The announcement yesterday said JJ will co-write the film with Chris Terrio, who won an Academy Award for the screenplay for Argo...  but also wrote the Batman V. Superman movie.  Not sure if that's good or bad...

Yeah, bummer.  Thanks Pete for checking that out.

I like the BAD stuff for the franken-droids you can create (one of my favorites combined MB-RA7 Head & Torso with FA-4 Arms & Legs).  I was looking forward to trying a BB-unit head on a protocol droid... probably can still do it, just a bit more work.

It's official - Disney/LFL are indeed pushing Episode IX release date back as well.  @starwars: "Star Wars: Episode IX is scheduled for release on December 20,  2019."

Makes you wonder if/when they are going to announce Han Solo is pushed back to Dec 2018 too...

I am somewhat surprised Johnson would pass, but maybe he just wants to do something else.

Like the rumored Obi-Wan Kenobi movie, I hope! ;)

Shortly after it was announced there were rumors it'd be out for Christmas, but I haven't heard anything since then...

I'm waiting to see pics on whether you can stick BB-8's head on existing BAD R-units or 3PO sculpts.  A Protocol Droid with BB head might be a nice 'junk' droid for dio filler.

You can pop them open?

Yes - Disney designed them to be part of the BAD line so they break down into 4 parts - head, upper outer ball half, lower outer ball half, inner ball.  Here's a pic from Yakface:

To anyone that was remotely interested in this line, you can now pre-order the start-up Wave 1 figures and accessory packs using THIS Backerkit Page.

And, yes - I know $28 is a lot for 4" scale figures but it's a very small company trying to get something very niche (4" super-articulated western figures) off the ground basically because of their love for that niche and nothing more.  Production runs will be very small and ALL of the profits are being poured into the development costs for wave 2 (and horses and potentially vehicles/playsets).

If you love it, support it. If you know someone that might like it, please share the link with them.   Thanks!*

The Last Jedi / Re: Toys R Us TLJ 3.75" Poe's Boosted X-Wing Fighter
« on: September 9, 2017, 10:37 PM »
That Poe looks identical to the carded one.  Any details I'm missing that would indicate otherwise

Figure seems to be the same, but more and more it is sounding like any repacks in this line will have differences because they could be made in different countries (China vs Vietnam) or they could have different "force link" chip inside them.  May not know for sure what the story is on him until this is released.
