Kubricks / Series 5

Very nice score Brent... a great price even with shipping!

On another note, I was a bit anxious in ordering Stormtrooper Han...

I now actually have TWO orders placed for him.  I thought the first order I placed (from Mopiku Toys) didn't go through as I got an out-of-stock notice, so I ordered from Ningyoushi.  Today though, I got ship notices from both places. :-[

I guess I might have a set of both Stormtrooper Han and Luke to sell when all is said and done...   :-X

If it's true, I know somebody in Orlando...  8)

I'm a bit lucky in that I've got a couple of great trading pals - one in Orlando and one in LA... they haven't let me down yet!   ;)

Let's knock it off with the fighting and namecalling please.  Seriously.

OK,

For the second time in three days, we had to come in here and remove a bunch of ******** from this thread.

As this is the second time we've had to come in here, we're going to have to lay down a few rules:

1.  Please post in this thread ONLY if you are interested in joining and participating in this year's Fantasy Football League.  If you've got something to say or an opinion to share about one, any, or all of the participants - just let it go and keep it out of here.

2.  Please keep this thread on topic.  A little trash talking is fun, but wait until you've finished the draft before you start again, OK?

3.  Any more ******** and we'll have to pull the plug on Fantasy Football here at JediDefender.  YES, we are fully aware that it's unfair that one or two people who can't seem to get along are going to ruin it for everyone, but frankly we're tired of the bitching and it's just easier to get rid of the whole thread than to keep coming in here and baby-sitting.

So, please keep this in mind.  We are going to keep this thread locked today to give you time to absorb the new rules and we will re-open it tomorrow...

Due to the size of the image (86x48), I don't think we can add it to our pre-set smilies, but we can certainly host it for you so you can use it when you need to...

"Stealth" looks to be essentially "Top Gun" meets "2001", where a plane becomes self aware and does its own thing. Besides, Jessica Biel's a failed actress, IMO. Needs to re-join "7th Heaven", re-evaluate who she jobs for.

You forgot to add...

"Stealth" looks to be essentially "Top Gun" meets "2001", with Jessical Biel in a bikini

I'm not going to see it for it's ground-breaking cinematography, I'm going to see it because IMHO, it looks like a "fun" movie.

Jeff

ps.

I thought Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was really good.  I saw it, it was fun and I really enjoyed it - but then again I'm just a regular guy and not a part-time movie reviewer type guy.

It turns out SWS.com may have a helmet exclusive really shortly  Sad to say, but I might have spent too much money on a special ops helmet :-[ so the chance to get a helmet at regular retail price is really quite appealing.

Hey Brent,

That exclusive Helmet is up for pre-order:

Exclusive Studio Scale Star Corps Trooper Helmet Replica

Now you can join Commander Bly's troops for $400 plus shipping!   ;)

It's Hyperspace exclusive through the weekend, then it's open to everyone on Monday (if there are any left).

Well then I guess I'll play it safe and pass on it in favor of something easier on the eyes -

Wow, have a look at this Holo Leia that was just delivered to an on-line acquaintance:

Another great packing job by StarWarsShop.com!   ::)

I wish I could say I was surprised, but with every new exclusive figure come the horror stories of people receiving crushed figures and what-not.   :(

the Firefly family is made out to be a lot more depraved than we first thought, and overall, this is a uber-violent film.

I heard from a friend who said that Zombie's new flick was horrible - he said something about uber-violence being so disgusting it made him sick and he could hardly watch it.

Is it really bloody-violent (blood squirting), sexually-violent (rape/torture), or gross violent (innards expodingout out of body holes?

For some reason, I can tolerate a little "bloody-violence" in a movie, but the other two types will turn me off even the most brilliant movie.  I didn't mind the blood-shed in "Kill Bill" for example, but I get grossed out at a lot of other horror movies.   :-\

Kubricks / Series 5
« on: July 29, 2005, 02:22 PM »
are u into ONLY star wars kubricks or do u have other lines of kubrick??

I dabble in a few other lines - Sesame Street (Series 1), the Muppets (Series 1), Batman (Boxed Series 1, Animated Series 1, Movie Series 1), Back to the Future (Series 1).

I've managed to stay off the Marvel Kubys for now, but with each new X-Man they do I kinda feel myself getting pulled in (same for that nifty FF movie set that is coming out).   :-\
