Were they just flat magnets ?

No they are "3D". Maybe one square inch-ish.

Other Collectibles / Star Wars Magnetic Helmets

At my local Target I noticed Star Wars magnetic helmets by the sports card display. $4 for a "pack" with one of 34 random helmets inside. You can feel the package and probably tell what you are getting. I was tempted to buy one, but decided to pass.

Is Mallrats really that good?  Must be the only Kevin Smith movie I haven't seen yet.

Mike don't tell anyone I told you this because I don't want to get into a discussion about Mallrats, but no it's not really that good. Ok is a good adjective for it.

Former Mets GM Steve Phillips said today that he would trade Stephen Strasburg for Roy Oswalt if he were in charge of the Nationals.   :o

Just incase he had a shot at ever being a GM again....

That's possibly the dumbest thing I've ever heard......... Are you sure there wasn't some context that made it remotely logical?

Finally watched it when it aired on FOX last night.  I thought it was pretty good overall.

I HATE Family Guy, but watched last night because of the Star Wars theme. This is their second SW episode. The first was ANH and this was ESB. Loved the "nailing the electical wires to the snow" line. The "robot camels" were pretty hilarious too.

Is that Michael Corleone?

The Hoth scene in "The Godfather Part 2" is so awesome.......

Too bad the waves following this one suck.  Nobody wants prequel **** on vintage cards.

Speak for yourself. I'm all for it. If they are going to make prequel toys it might as well be on cool cards.

Ah, but did they pre-dust the winners so they'd blend in?

edit-deleted that. I said what you said.

I thought McGruber was on MadTV ?  I thought it was a joke when I saw the trailer for that a few weeks ago.  Can't believe they actually made a movie out of it.

Also it's rumored that a trailer for the sequel to Cloverfield will be attached to Iron Man 2

Ya...Super 8 or some jive.  Looking forward to it.

That just shows how much I know what I'm talking about here.  ;)

I think if it's funny it'll do well.  And so far reactions I've read have been positive.

Maybe it'll be a hit and I'm way off base. I am just surprised they would make another SNL based movie.

I only catch SNL every once in a while for a couple skits at a time, but is McGruber really that popular?

They think this movie is going to make money? I heard the same people that green lighted it also green lighted "It's Pat: Part 2"

I'm pretty sure this was talked about a while ago for a different character, but I think you have to remember this show is on the Cartoon Network and little kids want/need the characters to speak english. Just pretend he spoke Trandoshan and it was translated for the "Live Documentary" you were watching.

I sure hope JD doesn't commit to this kind of failure someday.   ;)

So does this mean that Willrow Hood, a random background character backed by JD and was predicted to lead to the death of Star Wars merchandise if he was ever made into a figure, is more popular than Lt. Renz, a random background character backed by and responsible for the creation of the most popular Star Wars collecting website of all time?

Seems to me the $8 basic figure had a better chance than the expensive bust did. I'm no expert, but.......

A hot goaltender doesn't make the Caps a bad team.  It's happened tons of times historically.

Didn't say they were a bad team. And I'm not only using this postseason as my sample. I'm a huge Ovechkin fan. But in my mind the best players make their team win when they should.
