I got the Evo Trooper, since I never got the 30AC release.  Now I'm hoping they'll rerelease the Jump Trooper as a Saga legends repack.

I wasn't finding Chewie or Darth Maul anywhere, so I broke down and bought them on eBay.

The next wave is supposed to show up in September, right?  Anyone in California find them yet?

Is this the new Maul ?

DK2K4, no, I was saying I hadn't seen the first Maul in stores, so I bought it on eBay.  As for the new wave, I don't think it contains the new Maul, I think that's due in November.

I wasn't finding Chewie or Darth Maul anywhere, so I broke down and bought them on eBay, then I've seen them each a couple times since, last night both at KMart, KMART!  Just had to shake my head.  Still, even with shipping, the prices off ebay were only three or four bucks more than a lot of stores charge...

Hey Hasbro! / Re: Questions for Hasbro?
« on: August 21, 2008, 11:05 AM »
Hasbro has shown a lot of love for the Battlefront 2 video game.  In the past year we got the Clone and Droid multipacks, the Rebel Vanguard trooper, Stormtroopers, Scout Troopers, (although overscaled to the game) Darktrooper and some reports have indicated the repainted Death Star Gunner (as the Imperial Engineer) is already in stores.  When will Hasbro release some of the remaining characters?

-A head-swap with the Saga Collection General Veers would make a nice Imperial Officer
-ROTS Tarrful could be adapted to be the Wookie Warrier
-A clean Sandtrooper w/ Orange Pauldron and rocket launcher makes the Shocktrooper
-The German soldiers from the Indy line could be adapted to be the Rebel Smuggler
-Resculpted, super-articulated Fleet trooper

I think in the Clone Wars comic Series Durge and Anakin fight on a cruiser and Anakin knocks him into an escape pod and launches the pod into a star.  Where that happens in the timeline compared to the Clone Wars movie/TV shows, I don't recall.

Sales tax in NY varies by county, but I think in Erie county (where Buffalo is located) its 9%.

I guess this is kind of a cross-license discussion, but what do you guys think about using one of the German soldiers from the two pack as a stand in for the Battlefront 2 Rebel Smuggler?  All three wear tan baseball style hats, tall black boots, tan pants, atleast one of the Germans has a green jacket like the Smuggler and the Germans have suspenders sort of like the straps for the Smuggler's backpack.  I haven't really done a custom before, just wondering if anyone else thinks they are close before I buy the Germans.

Hey, wonder what everyone thought about the scene where Asoka was bragging to the troops and artooie had a chat with another droid, was that R2-KT?  It would be very Lucas to slip something like that in.  I hadn't seen anyone else mention that, didn't know if anyone else caught it.

I don't know how many theaters around you guys were showing it, but I think part of the small weekend take was that a lot of theaters aren't showing it.  Maybe a lot of theaters don't want to show a movie for only a weekend or two, which might be what is planned here if a fall DVD release is accurate.

I was going to take my nephew to see if it at the one theater a couple miles from my house, but they weren't showing it, we had to turn around and drive 20 miles the other way to one of the big malls to find a theater that was showing the Clone Wars.  On the plus side there four guys in costume (Darth Vader, three stormies and R2-D2 though he was remote controlled).  I think they were there working for the cinema though and not just fans as they were back at the top of the escalator when the movie got out.  I live near Albany NY, so there isn't the same number of 501st people there are in CA or other areas, so it was kinda neat for my nephew and I.

Just going on the reaction of the crowd in the theater I was in (200 5-9 year olds and their fathers), I was really surprised by the low box office numbers.

Someone earlier mentioned that it was nice to see the Jedi still afraid of the Destroyer droids.  Adding to that, I liked the part where Anakin and Asoka had the cruiser lower it's shields so they could land, only to have the group of Droid fighters recognize this, and immediately turn and crash themselves into the exposed innards of the cruiser.  The droids may be easily tricked when the Jedi do something that is beyong their programming capacity, but when they are presented by a military opportunity they respond.  I thought it added depth to the bad guys, which was nice.

Was I the only one who longed for Jabba to hit the big button (for old times sake) so we could see what's below door number one?

Also, wasn't Pixar originally a computer/program developed by LucasArts/LucasFilm/THX/SkywalkerSound (or whatever Lucas company)?

There are pics on the main page of some otheR Site.  The Jodo figure has very strange looking shoulders.  I see above its been speculated that is just a repaint of the Saga 2 Boba Fett, which looks pretty accurate to me.  Which is disappointing, how come they didn't use one of the molds from the Elite Forces pack, or Evolutions pack, Vintage Boba, etc?

I think having different versions of Muggs that have already been done is a little puzzling on Hasbro's part.  I can think of a few characters it would seem should be done before no-shirt Maul and no-Mask Vader.  How about Padme, Qui-Gon, R2-D2, Wicket, Jar-Jar, old Ben Kenobi (I'd also be more interested in Wedge, Ki-Adi Mundi and Kit Fisto).
