I'll reserve any mention of this week's matchup until I see a final score tonight. Young could go off tonight, you never know.

Here's more Steven Jackson goodness for ya' Dressel: Jackson has partial groin tear

Go New Orleans D...I hope LenDale isn't much of a factor, although I squeaked a win last week, its probably not going to go my way two weeks in a row.  I just wish TO got in the end zone last night

I'm betting LenDale gets in tonight, and we both lose our undefeated status.  I got my ass totally kicked, for one.

Steven Jackson has been a total no-show, I thought I put a bunch of nice players around him, but S-Jax hasn't done **** nothing so far this year.  Of course, through 3 weeks, LJ and LT also have been disappointing.

Anybody have the updated scores as of this point?

Ugh, 2 QB's on the roster, QB's with concussions. It's never good to have to pick up 37 year old QB to carry your fantasy team midseason, but you gotta do what you gotta do.

I'd have rather played you in week 13 or something with a potential playoff spot on the line - to keep it interesting and all.

Since we have 12 teams, wouldn't you two face off in week 12 as well? Granted, not exactly the final week of the regular season, but right in those last few weeks before the playoffs...

Modern Classifieds / Matt's FS list w/rarities & protos

Hi all,

I have a few items that I'm looking to move to raise some funds for my upcoming wedding:

Prices listed are in US dollars and do not include shipping. These prices may be negotiable, especially when purchasing multiple items. I accept Paypal and Money Orders, but will only take personal checks from people with whom I have a positive personal history. I do my best to only charge you the actual shipping costs.

I'm happy to answer any questions about the below pieces.

POTF2 First Shot Snowspeeder. Cast in the white that you often see with the first shots from the early vehicles in the POTF2 line. This is cast from the vintage mold, as it has a 1980 copyright date on it. It's missing a few parts, as seen in the picture - including one of the rear engines and the end of one of the laser guns. These early white vehicle first shots rarely pop up in the market, and many are missing a few pieces like this one. I obtained this from a community-known credible source about 4-5 years ago and have not seen another white FS of the snowspeeder other than this one since I have been collecting. $220

Packaging sample for the POTF2 Beast assorment, namely the Luke w/Wampa. The figure in the window is a production Luke figure, however the packaging is from a Jawa/Ronto pack. This has been opened on one side, but still displays wonderfully.  $45

First shot Deluxe Slave Leia w/cannon. Obviously, the Leia figure has non-production colors in the hair and the skirt, but the cannon colors differ from the production piece as well. Obtained from Cantina Collectibles 3 or so years ago - before the onslaught of newer first shots from the Far East on eBay. $75

POTF R2-D2 w/holo leia proof card. Note that although the die cut hanger tab appears in the picture, although it is not attached to the card any longer. $20

Episode I Theed Generator Complex Box Flat (pictures available upon request - I don't have any sitting on my computer at the moment.). Never folded and in immaculate condition. $20

Expanded Universe packaging sample. The figure is a production Nien Numb, but the packaging used was leftover green card POTF2. These were mock-ups to show how the 3D-playscene would work on the Expanded Universe line. There are only a handful of these running around in collections, most of which came through The Earth in Cincinnati 4+ years ago. $250

TRU Saga Luke's X-Wing w/R2D2 MISB (pics available upon request). $40

Darth Vader Kotobukiya Resin Statue MISB. This is the first version, not the ROTS version. (pics available upon request) $40

With my schedule now, Wednesday nights would be the best. I'm looking to change jobs at some point in the near future, so hopefully by the time the draft rolls around, that preference would be moot.

For those of you who have done a live draft online, roughly how long of a time should we plan on the draft to take?

I'd prefer a forum draft, since I believe that I'd throw a monkey wrench into any live draft due to my work schedule at the moment (2-11 pm Mountain time).

Yeah, but he's a mean drunk...

Ah, how many of us have dreamed about doing that after reading

A big point here is that as Star Wars fans and collectors, most/all of us want to have a Fan Club President who is a fan him/herself, who is someone we can look up to, who's a person who wants to be friends with and get to know many other Star Wars fans out there, a person who's fair and willing to speak up for us and listen to our ideas, someone you can approach and chat with at a convention or just say "Hi", someone who doesn't have an "agenda", someone who represents the entire community, and most of all, someone who's worthy and deserving of the position, even if it's just (supposedly) an honorary title for the most part.

Outside of the first point listed above, Dustin is none of those things, and neither is his "master" Phillip.

Legal matters aside, I'm not so sure I agree with you here Matt. As you pointed out, Dustin surely fits the criteria of being a fan himself.  I've always felt that you help out with a fan/collecting site for one of two reasons: either you truly want to help out the community or you are looking for an ego boost. Dustin has been volunteering for what ... 7-8 years, maybe more, going back to his days at Yak? I don't know that anyone could volunteer for that long simply for an ego boost.

I know I've read a negative comment somewhere from someone about meeting Dustin at one of the cons, but I think you'll find a vast majority of people that have met him describe him in pleasant terms. Heck, I met him briefly at C2  (by that point, we'd had a couple of disagreements about the forums there after CSW and RS merged and both of us were admins, when both of us were used to being the only admin and in charge of our respective forums before the merge) and he was nothing but easily approachable, nice, and pleasant to talk to. Although I haven't been back to Ohio for one of the Cincy regional meetings of the OSWCC, I have heard many people mention how easily approachable Dustin is, along with a sense that he was truly interested in talking with them.

As far as being worthy, you may or may not like what sites he works with, but you have to admit, he has given quite a bit of time to the community - RS, tf.n, being in the leadership at OSWCC, etc. Anyone who has worked at one site can attest to the time that goes into being a volunteer is usually significant, especially when playing multiple roles on one site (news reporting, forum moderation, etc.). Unless there is some proof that he is doing all this while somehow being a major prick about it, he's more than worthy in my book.

I don't know that you could find someone who would fit the criteria you mentioned about "representing the entire community". Remember, toy collecting is just one piece of the SW universe - you have the fan who is only interested in the movies, people who enjoy the books and expanded universe, blah, blah, blah. How is one person going to adequately represent all those groups? Can anyone even adequately represent only the toy collecting portion of the community? I'm not so sure...

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to hear why the last unofficial tally and the final result seem to be so contradictory, but isn't it much more likely that USCwannabe was disqualified for some reason rather than Philip/Dustin pulled some major shenanigans?

I'm OK with the change from 3 to 4 points for a passing TD, although I don't think it should go any higher than that.

Did we have points for the blocked kicks in the past? Not that they come up all that often, but I can't recall what we did last year.
