Photonovels and Movies / TSR #4 - Meeting Robilus Dralco
« on: September 9, 2005, 11:12 PM »

The Millennium Falcon lands inside Robilus Dralco's docking bay, located inside his giant mansion on Trideeno. Sivart Dralco leads the New Republic leaders into the lobby of the mansion.

HAN: Look at the size of this place! I never thought Iíd ever be in a place this elegant for Republic business.
CHEWIE: Raaar!
SIVART: If you wait here, Iíll get my father.

Sivart looks at the women and smiles.
SIVART: You are free to stay the night as well, if you desire.
Han puts his arm around Leia.
HAN: Sorry, this one's taken.
Sivart winks and walks off. The group faces each other and begins talking.
LEIA: That guy is a creep.
LUKE: Heís not a creep, he just comes off strong with women.

Luke looks up at the nearby stairwell, as does everyone else. Standing at the top is a man in his early sixties, with fading blonde hair. He wears a business suit, with a sweater over it, giving him a unique look. He holds an amazing staff in his right hand. He is the richest man in the galaxy. He is Robilus Dralco.

ROBILUS: Welcome to my home, friends of the New Republic. I am Robilus Dralco. Please excuse me for my lateness, I was finishing up a business transaction.
LUKE: Mr. Dralco, itís a pleasure to see you again.
ROBILUS: Is that little Luke Skywalker? My word, how youíve grown up! Please, introduce me to your friends.
LUKE: Well this is Han Solo, and his Wookiee partner Chewbacca. Lando Calrissian, Princess Leia Organa of Alderaan, Tridia Forgs, Senator for this planet, Admiral Dorovan Elick, and our droids C-3PO and R2-D2.
ROBILUS: It is a pleasure to meet all of you. Please follow me to the dining room, I have prepared a light meal for your arrival. It's our famous Trideeno soup, a treat you can only get here on Trideeno!

Everyone follows Robilus into the large dining room. Chefs bring out bowls of soup and quickly exit back into the kitchen. As everyone begins eating, a servant droid approaches Robilus.
DROID: Master Dralco, the President is here.
ROBILUS: Ah, wonderful. Sivart, please invite President Talos to join us.
Sivart gets up and walks out of the room with the droid.
THREEPIO: Master Luke, if itís alright with you, may Artoo and I look around the mansion? We wonít do anything harmful, weíll only look!
LUKE: Do you mind Robilus?
ROBILUS: Be my guest!

Outside of the dining room, Artoo hurries around a dark corner.
THREEPIO: Artoo-Detoo, wait for me!
ARTOO: BWAAAAAAP!
THREEPIO: Artoo? Artoo? Where are you?

Suddenly an arm grabs Threepio from behind a hidden door.
THREEPIO: Oh my! Get your hands off Ė
Threepio is shut off and dragged away.

Back in the dining roomÖ
LUKE: Mr. Dralco, I must say that Trideeno is growing extremely fast. Iím very impressed. The Senate and Jedi Council may have to set up new offices over here for easy access to the Outer Rim.
ROBILUS: We would welcome it with open arms. Though I do hope the expansion ends. I preferred Trideeno more when I first settled here, back when it was just the sister planet of Naboo. Now they refer to it as ďthe Coruscant of the Outer Rim.Ē Although I must admit, Trideeno seems to be the perfect mix of business and relaxation.

At this time, everyone has finished their meals. Sivart and Trideeno President Stomah Talos enter the dining room.
SIVART: Everyone, this is Trideeno president Stomah Talos.
Talos bows.
TALOS: Sivart has informed me about everybody here. You all have quite the reputations. I must say that Iím extremely impressed.
ROBILUS: No need to pucker up, Stomah. Your accomplishments are still amazing compared to theirs. Now please, friends, follow me. Itís getting late. I shall show you to your rooms.

As everyone follows the Dralcos out of the dining room, an arm pulls Admiral Elick into another hidden door.

ROBILUS: These are the guest suites. Please make yourselves at home, Iíll see you all at breakfast. President Talos has offered to give you all a tour of our capitol building.
HAN: Politics, fun. Anyway, thanks for everything, sir. Iím sure Chewie is thankful for your gratitude also.
CHEWIE: Raaaaaaar!
LEIA: I agree. Thanks a lot, Mr. Dralco.
LANDO: Thanks Mr. Dralco. If itís possible, Iíd like to play a game of sabaac before we leave.
ROBILUS: Youíre all very welcome. Iíll see what I can do about that card game, General.
Everyone bows farewell and each guest enters a separate room. Luke, however, stops Robilus.

LUKE: Mr. Dralco, I have to be honest with you. The Republic has been having a lot of problems with the Remnant lately, as you probably already know. The reason we came here was to find out if you knew who was leading the Remnant. Youíre the only one I know who has those kinds of ties.
ROBILUS: Luke, Iím going to be honest too. Iím disappointed that thatís your only reason to visit me, heh heh heh! In all seriousness, I have no idea, but I can work on it tonight. If I pull the right strings, hopefully Iíll have an answer by morning.
LUKE: Thank you so much, sir. You have no idea how much help this is to the Republic. Oh, one last thing, have you seen Admiral Elick or the droids?
SIVART: Elick and Forgs both have rooms downstairs. And I lead the droids to a droid chamber earlier, where theyíll spend the night with all the other droids we have.
LUKE: Right. Thanks again, Mr. Dralco. I canít tell you enough how much I appreciate your help.
ROBILUS: It is not a problem, Luke. Now go, get a good nights sleep. Tomorrow will be a big day.

Luke enters his room as the Dralcos and Talos leave. In the middle of the night, an explosion lights up the sky near the Dralco mansion. It came from the room of Luke Skywalker.

After seeing recent pics of the younger (age 20 and younger, or Paris Hilton's friends), I have to ask: does anybody eat anymore? :-X

I hope the action scenes on Kobarra come out as good as they sound in the script. ;)

Oh man, a Rancor, Asajj, AND the wrath of Palpidious? RE is in some DEEP ****...

I really liked the pics in this one. Your skills are getting better! I also liked the story too. I wonder where could the Badoo Corba have gone, and if they're alligned with the CIS? Very intriguing...

Can't wait for #14! :)

« on: September 5, 2005, 02:59 AM »
Okay, so I took a few screencaps (although I doubt 23 is a few :P). Please excuse their crapiness.

The main opening screen has the BF2 logo, as well as the logos of the Alliance and Empire. Each logo shows movie clips of that particular group. The picture shows Luke on Dagobah and Jabba. Other clips include Battle of Yavin, Battle of Hoth, Battle of Endor, and the Star Destroyer capturing the Tantive IV.

Since this is an Online Beta, the only thing we can do is log on to the servers. Luckily the connection was working today, and away we went to the above screen, the game room selection. Unfortunately, I think there were about 5 other people total online, so I was basically playing against the CPU all night. The beta consists of three levels - Utapau (CIS vs. Republic), Tantive IV (Empire vs. Rebellion), and a Space Dogfight over Kashyyk (CIS vs. Republic). Unfortunately, there were no Space battles available tonight, but I was able to play one a few weeks ago. For now, let's go to the Tantive.

The loading screen while waiting to get into a game.

When you first start out, you need to choose your side, either the Empire or the Rebellion. I first chose the Empire. Their troops consist of a Stormtrooper, Sandtrooper, Biker Scout, Imperial Officer, Death Star Trooper (the ones that fire the laser beam), and a Darktrooper. Each hold the same weapons they did in BF1, with Pilots being replaced by DS Troopers and Bothan Spies. The Pilots are playable in space battles though.

The controls are pretty much the same as BF1, and I'm glad. The controls were easy to follow and use, so I'm glad to see no major changes like other companies do with their sequels. The levels are HUGE! You can go anywhere in the Tantive, from the engine room, to the escape pod hallway, to the meeting room in ROTS where Obi-Wan, Bail Organa, and Yoda discuss the future of the twins. It's amazing to look at and very movie accurate, at least the parts we've seen on screen. :P After a while, I got bored with the Empire and did some rebelling.

The Rebel troops consist of two Rebel Fleet Troopers (one as a basic grunt, one as a heavy weapons troop), a Wookiee Warrior, a Smuggler, and a Bothan Spy. Their weapons are the same as in BF1 also. After some short fighting, I decided to go to Utapau.

A Smuggler views a table that I swear I've seen somewhere before.

The Smugger searches for R2-D2 and the stolen plans - TRAITOR!

On arrival into a Utapau game, you are again asked to choose whether you want to play for the CIS or the Republic. I chose the CIS at first.

CIS soldiers include a Super Battle Droid, Battle Droid, Red Battle Droid (not the kind from Geonosis), Destroyer Droid, and a Magnaguard. Again, the weapons are the same as in BF1.

On Utapau, there are two available vehicles to drive, an AT-RT and a Tank Droid. Both are no different from driving a vehicle in BF1, and it's fun to mow down troops with one of them. Onto the Clones...

As you can see, fans of Clones will not be disappointed. We have 6 different types of Clones here. 501st Clone, 501st Jetpack Clone (with a green visor similar to Commander Gree), an all white Commander Bacarra, a Commander Bacarra grunt (early Snowtrooper), a trooper with a Commander Faie helmet, and one last Clone I don't recognize (he's in the second pic). If you've read this far, you'll know that each Clone's weapons are the same as in BF1, so I don't have to tell you that they are. Wait a second...

Faie observes a quarter of the gigantic Utapau level.

A close up of the Tank Droid.

If you do really well, you get asked to play as a Hero character. Accept, and you can play as either Obi-Wan or General Grievous, depending on which side you chose. Hero characters are awesome, and they mow down troops with their lightsabers. There is no defense, however, and once you're dead, you're dead, and you'll have to work your way back up to play as a Hero again.

Space battles are very fun as well. My God, where to begin? Everyone starts off in the hangar of their side's ship. This was Republic vs. CIS, so it was the Invisible Hand vs. a Star Destroyer. There's also a IGBC ship flying around, but it doesn't do anything.

Now in the CIS docking bay are 2 Tri-Fighters and 2 Droid Starships. Republic has Obi-Wan's and Anakin's Jedi Starfighters (from the Battle of Coruscant), an ARC fighter, and a V-Wing. If you can't get to a ship, you can go and control a turret and try and blast the ships. This is rather boring though. Now, in the starfighters, you have to go inside the enemy's ship and land. After landing, you have to go in and destroy the defense shield. This is something like destroying the Endor shield generator in BF1. Luckily grenades are more powerful here. This shuts down all of the turrets. THEN, you have to go in and destroy the power core. Again, this is like the Endor generator in BF1. After you blow it up, you win.

Overall, the Beta is great, and I hope that the full version is even better. If you were a fan of BF1, start saving your pennies. This game will be great!
