Collector's Tips / Displaying Figures on Shelves
« on: August 12, 2009, 01:13 PM »
So, I have quite a large action figure collection. I'm not a fan of baggies for my mostly loose colletion, so I place them on shelves. Any figures that have a hard time standing go near the back, near the wall. Any that have no difficulty standing go at the front. But how would YOU do this? Would you make them just stand there in an action pose? Fighting each other? Grouping all the same characters?  ???

How would you display your loose collection on a shelf?

The Prequel Trilogy / Who's Your Favorite Prequel-Era Villain?
« on: August 11, 2009, 05:32 PM »
Darth Vader and Palpatine were the villains of the OT. But come PT, we're introduced to Maul, Dooku, Aurra Sing, Zam Wesell.....

So, with that said, who's YOUR favorite villain(s) of the prequel-era?

My top 4 are (in order):
1. Asajj Ventress: C'mon. A cool backstory, evil look, sad ending, and sadistic, evil, Sith-fantascizing chick with two lightsabers? One of the most tragic villains of the EU.

2. Darth Maul: Sith Lord with a cool lightsaber and tattoos. 'Nuff said.

3. General Grievous: this Jedi-killing machine is one of the most creative additions to the SW story.

4. Count Dooku: Was he really evil? A Jedi-turned-Sith who had some realistic thoughts on the Republic. Palpatine made him the monster he was.

So this was a pretty good figure. 12 points of articulation (minus elbows), but her likeness is totally awesome! She looks like she's jumping out of the T.V. screen! She's super-poseable, but she can't hold her lightsaber too well, so careful. Her removable dress feature is cool, except it leaves her with a hole in her waist. Don't hesitate to pick her up if you see her at retail, she's very hard to find. And does anyone know if she'll be re-released in the new red/white line look? 'Cause it'd still be a good release.
