thanks for asking my question!  I am not certain how I feel about the Zartan head.  They didn't say anything about the difference in paint apps - so I am gonna hope that they stick with the "sand worn" deco.

For $1.25 I would quite possibly buy a second, if not more, of all of them!

My favorite thing I have seen so far today was at Walmart - not the one I normally go to.  I walked down to the Star Wars aisle to find that all of the TLC figures have been tagged with this sticker - Even the Episode 1 Panaka "repacked" on Typho card has been hanging there sticker-less for the past month....

There is an interesting article over at The A.V. Club listing the top 30 shows of the '00s.  They have write-ups on all the shows but here's the list if you don't want to jump over:

1: The Wire
2: The Sopranos
3: Arrested Development
6: Breaking Bad
12: Battlestar Galactica
14: Futurama
17: Firefly
24: Dexter

from E's list the above are shows I have watched and loved.  There were plenty of other shows on that list that I intend to watch - but I will recommend the above shows to any adult.  Hands down The Wire and Sopranos are two of my favorite shows ever - The Wire possibly being best show ever.  I also just finished Breaking Bad season 2 and I am really enjoying that.  BSG I liked seasons 1 and 2 a lot  - the rest was kinda down hill.  Firefly turned out to be excellent as it got closer to its end - sadly.  Dexter is also pretty darn fun to watch too.

yeah, i don't get the whole purpose behind the avatars - I am sure there is something, but whatever it is X-Box hasn't made me feel like I needed to buy into it.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Anyone Graduating?
« on: May 19, 2010, 12:59 PM »
Just wondering if anyone else is graduating from any type of school this month, or next...

I just earmed my Master Degree in Science of Education!  Hooray!  It took 6 years part time, it was 54 credits and a ton of work.  But I'm done.  How about you?

Congrats speedermike, what are you looking to do with it someday?  I too am a teacher, high school english, and I have been debating going for the masters....

In other news my son, whom I do all of my collecting for (kinda  :P ), is graduating Kindergarten

iirc from earlier shots it looked to be removable - only problem is then she had a divit in her head.

Saw the news on about Juggies helmet not being removable to show off his head.  His head is attached to his helmet.  I kinda figured since this was never really "show cased" by Hasbro.  So while this stinks, you had to see it coming - how else would they get us to buy him later down the line to get more money from us?

on a positive note - I am still super stoked that I was able to get these in on pre-order from HTS for such a good price.

I am starting to feel the same way as E posted above.  Target is packed with the initial stuff still.  WM is pretty barren due to the same store modifications E posted about, and TRU, despite their 3-4 2 for $11 sales they were having are still jam packed with the initial stuff.

I haven't been to TRU snce Friday, hopefully they sold a bunch since then because today is truck day here though I am kinda doubting it.  The pegs towards the back of the store where IM toys were planno'd were packed and the egs at the front of the store were pretty empty until they decided to empty out the floor shipper to get it off the sales floor and pack the pegs.

Thanks for the link to the new figs Greedo, sounds interesting though I cannot see them at work - Movie Style Hulkbuster?  Nice....   :)

Just saw the pics on  I dunno about these...  They most certainly could be real - but the Nick Fury he is selling has me kinda skeptical.  The head on him looks custom - his mouth doesn't look "open" like the pics at CTR show off.  Pretty meh on the "realistic style hulkbuster" Iron Monger painted red/yellow with hulkbuster head.  Meh on the camo Ware Machine since I already have the one from the K-Mart pack.  The holographic see through blue one is kinda interesting to me though

my Target just put out 2 Wedge X-Wings last week  ???

still at full price btw

in regards to Aurra I think they just kinda said she would be coming either this year or next

I'm digging the Animated version. I'll get her, and may just get another to put with my realistic collection.

completely agree with you
