Yeah, I still don't understand that move my Microsoft.  They spent $50 million to get a 10-hour add-on quest that won't even be available for 6 months.  You'd think for $50 million they could have had the content ready on day one so it could be used as an actual selling point.  Now it's like... "And 6 months from now you'll be able to dust off this game that you haven't touched in forever and play it for another 10 hours... for only $19.95!!"  I don't know, maybe they're hoping it'll push consoles over Christmas.

I wish I could say it felt that way.  I have a lot of good friends at RS who I can't chat with anymore.  That is the Vintage Community over there, and I'm shut out of it.  All because I was the one willing to say what needed to be said to the face of the 800 pound gorilla... to enlighten through satire.

I'd rather not go more into it.  I'm hoping it'll blow over at some point, and that Phil will see fit to reinstate me.  And if I say too much here it'll just stir up more bad blood and extend the process.

The PS3 thread here, dormant since last October, has had 26 new posts since that op-ed piece was posted.

I designed that site EXACTLY like the guy wanted back in 1998.  They've made some changes (mostly for the worse), but it's still essentially just how I delivered it back then.  The facts that it hasn't changed at all and that he still keeps it updated at least prove he was happy with the results.

God of War 3 is slated for 2009.

BTW, the first review of Grand Theft Auto IV has popped up.

Uncharted is one of the best, if not the best game of this generation so far.  And Ratchet & Clank Future is the best game in a very strong series.  Those two games alone were worth the price of admission to me.  If you don't think there's anything worth playing, you must have a very narrow interpretation of what makes a good game.

I picked up Burnout: Paradise this week off eBay, and it's every bit as fun as it ever was.  The graphics are insane.  I'm still learning the map, but so far it's great.  And my daughter loves driving around and wrecking into stuff.

I've also been playing Stranglehold.  I'm not all that impressed by the graphics, and there are some bad framerate drops when things are destructing, but it's still an blast to play.

So does anybody else here even own a PS3?  Feels like I'm talking to myself.
