Other Collectibles / Re: Unleashed Battle Packs
« on: July 9, 2006, 12:04 AM »
ditto.  I didn't care to look at the packaging too closely, but it had the snowspeeder on it.  I wasn't aware (nor did I care) if there were figures in it.

I loathe the tiny unleashed line.  I'm looking forward to the Target re-releases of the bigger guys in the tube packaging as I missed out on a few.

Found wave 1 of the 3" Titanium Transformers today at a MN TRU.  Looks like these are hitting in case anyone is interested...

Other Toy Lines / Re: Transformers

The "classics" line is just a filler in between Cybertron and the new movie toys.  The classics should be hitting shelves this fall as Cybertron is moving towards its end.  The majority of the bots will be at the deluxe pricepoint - $10 - Bumblebee, Hot Rod, Astrotrain, Starscream.  $20 Voyager - Prime (no trailer) and Nerf gun Megatron  >:(.

I'm sure that there will be more to be announced as the new movie isn't expected to hit till summer of 07.

Found the VTSC on clearance for $10 and the SATS BP for $16 at a local MN Target tonight.  Didn't buy any though as I already paid full price for what I needed.

I'm colorblind for the most part and I don't think I see any white in the photos shown.

30th Anniversary Collection / Re: 2007 Coin Pack-Ins

Ditch the pack-ins and give us $5 figures.

With the economy, fuel prices, etc  I think the $5 SW figs may be a thing of the past.

eh?  What's the difference between now and when ROTS figs hit?  I miss my $5 SW figs.  I could care less for additional goodies crap thats included with the figure.

I found my Republic Cruiser with the rest of the wave a few weeks back at Target.

I never once saw the Raw Metal DS Giftset at retail WM, but luckily a nice lil "bird" helped me out with that set at our Hooters meet.

Saga Collection '06 / Re: Collection Losses

If I recall correctly, the Emperor was offered as a mail away figure for ROTJ, no?  Be that as it may I remember bringing him with me for show & tell or whatever it was called in kindergarten and I lost his cane 3 or 4 times that day out in the playground which kept me frustrated for most of the day until I lost it for the last time in the grass when I ultimately gave up on finding it again.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: If You Lost Your Collection....
« on: June 13, 2006, 11:18 PM »
I lived through the vintage era of SW, GI Joe, and Transformers and had most of all lines in varying degrees of some sort at the time.  Right now, I'm in limbo and living back with the folks due to college, but I have my SW and TF collection insured at 50k.

I would NOT pick up on any toy line if I were to lose it all.  I started back collecting toys hard core in 99 and would not attempt to start over or to specify in one particular area.  I'd take the money and buy a house and move on with my life.  Too much of a headache/second job to try and keep up on all the new stuff that keeps coming out.

Thanks for the free holo at tonight's gathering!  Just wish I could have gotten to your bag of goddies before Ryan did.   :)

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: 2006 DVD Releases Thread

Gotta love WM for their cheap DVD's.  I think the last ones I got for $4.88 a week or so ago were Pay it Forward, Last Man Standing, and Boiler Room.

I think a window box would have worked wonders for this toy - as well as a speeder bike pack in.  I can see these clogging up shelf space along side with the CW Gunships though.

And a few more Hasbro answers posted by Jedi Temple Archives:

- The UGH figures will not be rereleased.

That's a relief, but it doesn't answer the question as to if there will be another UGH "wave"
