The Vintage Collection / Re: 2025 TVC Wave 2 (New TVC Wave 41)

I'm good with these choices. It is definitely time for a new Snowtrooper, and it looks [/i]great[/i]. I'm in for at least 10 to start and may grab more as I see them. Dr Ezavan makes sense after the Cantina, I'd be willing to be there will be a newish or rereleased Ponda Baba announced on the Hasbro livestream to go with him. I like the new cardback, but it seems like they already broke their new numbering system and this should have been VC57A?

I wasn't real high on the trailer, but this figure looks great. They really captured Jude Law's likeness. I'm in for two, and hopefully more later if it ever ends up at discount stores for custom fodder.

Love it! I thought it was a really cool looking beast in the show, and it's great to get one in the line. Like the Blurgg, it feels like there are some rereleases in the future for this one with the different riders. The updated Sabine looks great, it is too bad this wasn't the first release.

Minor gripe, and I can't tell if the image perspective is just squished: I still don't love the unnecessarily wide "Deluxe" cardbacks. They won't fit in standard cases and won't fit into a wall display without fully rearranging a grid. The Cobb Vanth & Sabine are also different sizes than the Maldo Kreis Manadalorina. Everything there looks like it would have fit on a standard card with a slightly larger bubble. It's weird that they seem to have used a deluxe card on a pack-in figure, too. It's not like it needs to stand out on its own next to basic figures on the self to indicate the pricepoint difference visually.

I found some of the Retro Collection Zuckuss & 4-LOM two-packs at Ross for $3.99 today, along with some of the TVC Nien Numb / Jerjerrod wave.

Mine got here today. Can't decide if I am going to open now (after reading Jeff's story) or wait until December. I probably will chance it and wait. :P

The Vintage Collection / Re: 2024 Last Figure Standing Poll
« on: October 10, 2024, 12:23 PM »
Honestly, I'd buy a 12-pack of the last figure standing finalists... but a 6-pack or 12-Pack feels like a perfect fit for things like the "Return to Tatooine" theme. It'd be a great way to get out movie/show/planet-themed releases out in a group together so that we don't run into situations like we have with Hunter, where we have had a figure of only a single main characters from a show in figure for nearly two years.

If they were to time the 6/12-Packs to match with the playset releases for the year, that'd help get a mix of figures that people want and would make it easier for new collectors to complete a scene. Throw in 1-2 army builders/repaints with alternate cardbacks per set to help to cost it all out.

Dang, I was hoping the Ahsoka & Order 66 droids 4-Pack would have been in that sale. I had held off buying extras after the last few Amazon 4-packs went on sale so often.

They did at least have Cobb Vanth dropped down to $17.49 :)

The Vintage Collection / Re: 2023 HasLab - TVC The Ghost

It's the second week of October, I wonder when we will get an update of any kind on the Ghost? These have to be hitting U.S. ports pretty soon, the fact that we haven't heard reports of that yet makes me think the Ghost might not get here until at least November.

In case you missed this one, or want extras, I just noticed that ShopDisney has TC-14 marked down to $6.98

I like the mix here and will definitely be picking this one up.

As a side note: I'd love to see more of the B2EMO models released in realistic deco. It is such a great droid design and would look great filling in some dioramas.

I really like the figures from The Acolyte.  I think they came out really well!  And I think Master Indara will be a great addition to the set.  I'm just hoping that it doesn't end there for the series, and that Hasbro can make the Stranger and Kelnacca before moving on from the series.

Agreed, they are very well done. Sol is a fantastic Jedi figure & both Osha & Mae turned out really nice as well. Depending on how things shake out, if this wave ever ends up at Ross/Ollie's/etc. I will definitely be picking up a bunch of extras for customs. The cardbacks look really sharp on these ones too.

HK-87's new paint job looks good, but I wish this one still came with the E5 blaster. The Dark Trooper is now the only figure I am waiting on from this wave as well.

Nice! That's really good to hear you've enjoyed it and it hasn't been buggy for you. I'm on Series X too. I'll have to grab it as soon as I finish Witcher.

Despite my initial excitement, I decided to wait to pick it up for awhile after seeing some of the initial reviews and knowing Ubisoft's record with buggy games at launch. The last few Assassin's Creed games were super buggy at launch, but they got patched over the next few months after launch. I'd rather wait until that happens with Outlaws to play more of a complete game.

I ended up deciding to play Witcher 3 instead. I already owned it, had gotten it for free, and had never played it. Currently, that feels like the right choice. However, I am still looking forward to playing Outlaws one of these days.

There is also a big dark shadow out front of the cantina but behind the new set, it may just be a continuation of the wall shadow but it looks more to me like it could be a shadow from the 9000 Z001 landspeeder.

LOVE IT.

I started with 3 (may change that to 2 later) and will also pick up a few more on clearance eventually. I love the little crates, we can't get enough of that kind fo stuff in the line.
