Customizing Tips and Tricks / Re: Custom Clones - Clean or Dirty?
« on: September 11, 2005, 12:55 AM »
Personally I like dirty clones. In the middle of a war it is much more realistic. SW made the "used universe" look famous. If you look around here nothing stays that clean for long, take a favorite pair of jeans for instance, they get really worn down after wearing them for awhile.

I think it can be over done. It depends on the situation, if they are trapped behind enemy lines for weeks without being able to clean themselves, I can imagine it getting pretty dirty, but I think you'd still see some white. You also have to realize that the dirt needs to be transfered in scale too, which isn't always an easy task. I have definitely seen clones overdone, but determining exactly what is overdone as opposed to what is just dirty, isn't easy, for me anyways.

You had WAY too much fun with that I'll bet. :P

Excellent work CHEWIE. I love that custom of you. It is a great likeness. Nice work on Bail as well it is nice to see that some people actually have more than 1 set of clothing. The mechanic is nice looking as well. The blue was a nice choice for color. I'll be looking for all 3 of these in an upcoming PN< and your character should have more than just a little cameo. ;)

I was about to start a thread about this. :) It is just starting here, I think it is going to be hilarious. I love Bruce Campbell.

Man that is an awesome clone. But I think it could be better if you incorperated the designs of theCovert-ops clone or the spec-ops clone
jniebs

Seriously? ??? That could be one of the worst ideas I've heard in awhile, the SWS Covert-Ops Clone is lame. JJJ's is sooo much better. It actually looks stealthy, not like some rainbow trooper with shiney reflective armor. Those have no place in EU, Hasbro just made them up to make money off the people they know will but them.

JJJ, the clone turned out great, the clone turned out fantastic. I really like how the color turned out. He looks much better with out the kama. The ankle holster is a nice addition, that's where I would have put the holster if I had drawn it. This one urned out excellent. :)

slc youin fort collins? colo

Indubidably. :)

SLC, do you know why their charter got revoked? That sucks. But it doesn't surprise me too much these days... hopefully it wasn't for hazing, which didn't happen in my chapter ever.

Phruby, this is looking great!

 :P

Yeah, apparently the Frats and Sororities around here do this thing called "Rise and Ralph" at the end of Rush Week where they all wake up a 5am and go get drunk, this was on a thursday or friday. I'm not sure if you heard about Samantha Spady (she was the girl who died in a frat house last year, it was on the national news), but ever since then the Greek houses are supposed to be dry. The Denver Post (one of the 2 major CO papers) somehow found out and they got in a lot of trouble. The PIKEs lost their chapter 3 other are supended for a year and 4 more are on social prohibiation.

Sure, if he was someone we all knew, then I would probably believe him.

Funny you should say that.

I lost my collection tonight in a tragic curling accident and would like help.

70 VOTC Stormtroopers, and 10 Clone evolutions sets are what I need.  Any help, thanks.

I just sent you 2 clone Evolution sets and a Sith set. Be sure to watch out for those curling pucks...errrr.. whatever they are called.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Insomnia = Hell

Thanks Tamidala.

Well, I went to the doctor again today, and they were shocked that the Lunesta isn't working like it should.  Not to get too personal, but they are putting me on Zocor and Xanax for a while, which are anxiety/anti-depressants.

They did bloodwork too, and seem really concerned about my thyroid.  They said that could have something to do with it.  When I was really young, I had all kinds of tests done because they thought I had a thyroid disease, but whatever it was cleared up.  I'm trying to get more information from my parents about it, but they said that was all there was to it... that I was tested a lot when I was 2-3 years old.  I don't remember any of that.  I should get my blood test results in a few weeks and have to go back to the doctor for another test on Oct. 6th.

Hopefully though, it's not related to that.

 :P

My Mom has Insomnia as well and hers is related to her thyroid I believe. I really don't want to sound negative but nothing has really worked for her either.  :-\

I did see a diet pill on TV that has thyroid control. The lady said, "It works. Really Works." Maybe you could give that a try. :-*

I really like that gun. It reminds of the Republid Commando guns, it is a perfect fit.

On a related note the PIKES at CSU just got their chapter taken away today.

damn you ryan, I just tried to sign watson, but the yahoo page was going sooooo slow that it took me almost 15 minutes to search to see whether he was available or not.  I'm guessing that you got him somewhere in that lag time.

Kit and DD, I'll add your entries in a week or two since it is still the first week of September. Don't worry I won't forget about either of 'em. :)

Very cool. I really like the Splinter Cell style googles. :) Personally I'd ditch the kama, I think it would make too much noise and it be hard to be stealthy. I I think a silenced pistol, if they even make those in the SW universe. I guess it could be a projectile weapon, but he needs a way to kill silently from a distance. Color wise I think a grey black scheme is in order.

And that's why they are such a big sponser at Rebel's ***. They apparently sell well enough because they advertise like crazy there. ::)
