« on: May 8, 2003, 10:40 AM »
ebay has an unpunched MOMC POTF Anakin Skywalker up and it's already at $3999!!! Check it out!

Early Bird Mail Away kit almost as it was originally! It also has a double-telescoping Luke and Gren Crossbow Chewbacca!

Power of the Jedi / Rorworr
« on: April 8, 2003, 12:07 AM »
For those of you that have not seen the actual figure of my namesake, 'Rorworr', that is included with the 'Invasion of Theed' RPG, here he is...

He comes on a nifty POTJ micro card. The back has images of 16 POTJ figures and it is a .0000 card. I recommend the investment (the game retails for about $16) and there is no reason you shouldn't open it up to release a carded and bubble blistered, Exclusive figure to display with the other great POTJ stuff! If you are going for the 'loose' collection, he is a must have! I have already bought and broken open 2 boxes and I hope you can see why I adopted his name. A young, dashing wookiee ready to kick some butt! Chewbacca is tops in my book, but the idea of a lesser known wookiee getting an action figure is way too cool!

Feedback / Makillops's feedback
« on: February 19, 2003, 12:49 AM »
My experience with Makillops was equally positive and pleasant. He is an honorable trader, good with communication and delivers exactly what he says and in the condition he promises. I recommend trading with him to anyone and hope to have future experiences with him. Thanks Criag and I'll be in touch!

Power of the Force 2 / POTF2 Variants & Errors
« on: February 13, 2003, 12:40 AM »
Discuss, ask questions or tell us about your favorite or maybe unique variants and errors from the POTF2 line of figures.

The obvious being the Boba Fett figure from Green and Red card releases. So many different errors and variants. I have 3 carded Fetts and they are all the full circle and no other error figures. I have heard of and documented so many different variants and errors on this figure and feel like this is the mother of all in this line of figures. I hope to find one or two and own them in my lifetime and wonder how many people have 1 or more of these in their collection?

Power of the Force 2 / POTF2 Bootleg figures
« on: February 13, 2003, 12:35 AM »
We all know they are out there...

Share what unofficial or bootleg figures you have, like or even want in your collection.

I personally do not own any, but the most interesting one's I've seen that I can't figure out are a Red Carded Boba Fett with the figure being all silver and a Green carded Jawa 2-pack the same. They were on authentic cards and they looked damn good for a bootleg job. I wasn't about to pay $100 for both, but the dealer wanted what they paid... Still haven't heard or seen anything that is close to them or that others exist.

Vintage Kenner / Vintage Variants/Errors
« on: February 13, 2003, 12:30 AM »
If you have a question, comment or a rare error or variant figure you'd like to discuss from the vintage era of Kenner figures, this is the place! I try and pride myself on being a bit of an expert in this field and am interested in what you all have to say or ask me.

First topic is the Han Solo head variants/sculpts. There is so much conflicting information as to which headis more rare and which head actually looks better. If you ask me, my information tells me the small head is the more rare version and they should have gone somewhere in between. He either looks like he's anorexic or has been through an Ewok head shrinking ritual. Any thoughts or comments?

Saga '02-'04 / Can Someone Please Tell Me...

What in the hell this is?!!

I am totally baffled and I can't even begin to think this is legit!

Other Collectibles / WOTC Star Wars Miniatures
« on: January 26, 2003, 03:04 AM »
Star Wars Clix?

I know that licensing would be a pretty big task for Wizkids to pull off, but I would love to see them do a line of Star Wars 'clix'!
The Mage Knight stuff is pretty cool, Mechwarrior is ok, and I am hopelessly addicted to the new Marvel Clobberin' Time Heroclix run! Anyone else agree this would be an ultra-cool thing to add to our collecting and role playing lives?

Feedback / Bad Trader Thread
« on: January 25, 2003, 12:31 AM »
Alas, they do exist and this is the place to warn others of those 'bad guys' out there. They rip you off, send damaged goods and do not compensate and they make the trading world much less attractive to be a part of. These 'bad traders' do not necessarilly have to be people you've traded with here. Let's make this a place for posting bad traders you've run into accross the Star Wars Fan Site Universe.

I had a very negative experience at Rebelscum some time ago with "Ryjam 282" and I'm not alone. Instead of rehash it here, I'll direct you to a thread or 2 regarding our experience. He's a real doozy and has no respect for the trade code or his fellow traders.

scroll down on this page and look for a post by yours truly (rorworr);f=21;t=003468;p=1

do not hesitate to click on page 2 for more great feedback on this troll of a human being and trader.

Please add your bad traders and lets make the trading world a better place!!!

Saga '02-'04 / Variants.
« on: January 22, 2003, 01:21 AM »
Hey, as the local variant and error expert, I thought it would be appropriate to have a thread dedicated to all of the variants and errors that have come along and are discovered with the AOTC/Saga line. If you have any questions about variants or errors, you own or have found any you think are cool or worth mentioning or just want to share your favorite one, this will be the place to do it. I know there are a couple threads that refer to variants already, but let's make this the place to post those interesting items.

My favorite variant that I own is probably the Dexter Jettster with background insert and 'pipe' text visible or my 'bloody' Bespin Luke Skywalker.

My favorite error figure is my 'headless' Jango Fett (Final Battle) with the head loose in the bottom of the bubble. It just looks cooler minus that helmeted dome of his.

The most valuable at this point are the Clone Trooper (red) and the Jango Fett (Kamino Escape) without black paint in the visor. They currently are fetching over $100 a piece!

I'll add more to this thread soon and post updates as I find them. Our variant/error checklists are currently being overhauled to accomodate for the new stuff and to make them easier to read, even more specific and will be worth the wait. For now, this is where I will update you with the current variant hype and newly discovered ones.

One new figure of interest is the Padme Amidala (Coruscant Attack). I have the correction stickered bio text on the card back figure and printed correction bio text on card back variants. The original error text variant has been rumored to have never made it to retail.

The original text reads:
"An explosion tears apart the royal ship that is supposedly carrying the queen of Naboo, just as the vessel reaches Coruscant. Ready to defend those in danger, Senator Padme Amidala is relieved that the ship was a decoy and the queen is safe, but she is alarmed by the violent attack and its menacing implications."

The corrected text reads:
"Senator Amidala, the former queen of Naboo, returns to  Coruscant to vote on the critical issue of creating an army for the Republic to assist the overwhelmed Jedi. As her Naboo Cruiser arrives, an explosion tears apart the ship. Fortunately Padme, disguised as a Naboo Pilot, eludes danger, but her decoy Carde, disguised as Senator Amidala, was not as lucky."

If anyone out there has the variant with the original text, I would be very interested to know about it!

The stickered variant is extremely rare! I have found only 1 after thumbing through countless pegged Amidala's. I'll keep you posted on how this figure is doing on ebay and others as well.

Good luck and hunting!

1:6 Scale Figures and Collectibles / 12" Figure Discounts and Sales
« on: January 14, 2003, 12:48 AM »
Went down the toy clearance aisles at a Walmart that hasn't seen many new SW action figures in a while and found they were clearancing all their 12" Dengars and Zuckuss Action Figures for $10 a piece!!! I could not believe my eyes! But I could believe it when I looked in my wallet and found nothing to buy them with. They were stocked though, so hope to return and find a couple of each. I encourage everyone to check their local walmart for similar clearancing prices. Too good to pass up!

Jocasta's Reading Room / Dark Horse's SW: Empire
« on: December 6, 2002, 08:47 PM »
Is anyone else reading this? I have to say it is one of the best Star Wars universe comics I've ever read. The art is killer! Graphic, detailed and very well-rendered. The plot is getting really good, and the way they write Vader in pre- A New Hope era is EVIL! He is out for blood and doesn't blink when he takes a life. I really am enjoying it and can't wait for issue #4!

Let me know if anyone else out there feels the same or differently and if you do not know about it, catch up! It's at issue #3 and it's great stuff!

Saga '02-'04 / ESB 25th Anniversary Sets?
« on: December 6, 2002, 07:59 PM »
I just received Issue #122, Dec. 2002 of Lee's Toy Review and they talk about retailers discounting the ANH 25th Anniversary sets (Luke & Leia, Han & Chewy & Vader and Ben). At the end of it they say, "grab them now before the 25th Anniversary EMPIRE figures begin shipping!".

Hello? I have not heard or read a thing about a series like the ANH 25th being released for each film. If "Empire" is next, what are the sets? It's not the trash compactor sets is it? That is definitely not "Empire". I even scrolled through Galactic Hunters 'pirated' list of 2003 releases and nothing...

Anyone have any clue about this? While I would like to have broken this story and posted it on our site, I figure the forum elite are just as good as front page, and we may be able to help each other to get this to be an exclusive article here. Am I missing something, or is this news to anyone else? Please help and at least let me know if anyone knows anything about these...

The Original Trilogy / the death of Obi-Wan...
« on: December 5, 2002, 01:11 AM »
What jedi magic does Obi-Wan summon to vaporize his physical being? Even Vader looks a bit perplexed when he lifts up Obi-Wan's robe. I have never really thought about the actual phenomenon of this and was wondering if anyone could enlighten me...

Feedback / Darth Cycy's feedback
« on: December 1, 2002, 12:38 AM »
Just completed a trade with Darth Cycy. We started it on and it will end here. I had not traded for 6 months due to a misfortunate experience with a 'BAD TRADER' prior to this one with Darth Cycy. He understood my paranoia and was very empathetic to my situation. He made the entire trade a great experience that has vaulted me back into wanting to get back on the trading block again. He has restored my faith in my fellow trader and opened the door again to the wonderful universe of trading.

His items arrived as he said they would (momc) and his packaging was expertly done. So much so that a crushed box corner had no effect on the contents of the package.

His packaged arrived in a timely manner and he has been polite, accomodating and we communicated throughout the trade.

I highly, HIGHLY recommend trading with Darth Cycy and hope others have the opportunity to experience what I have in my trade with him. Pure Satisfaction!
