I think the animated stuff is being phased out, and it makes sense. The show has had a big-time drop in ratings and popularity, and the Clone Wars sub-line as a whole appears to have performed poorly over the last year or so. As much as I have enjoyed collecting the toys based on the cartoon, I will have no complaints if the line is wrapped up. Four years is a very good run, and Hasbro has covered so much from the show. I wouldn't mind getting the occasional battle pack or exclusive figure, but I am more excited about getting the Clone Wars characters in realistic format.

Ever since Adam at GH started asserting that CW is dying because of the huge drop in ratings, I have tried to actually find the source that proves it.  Yes, the ratings have dropped but not by 25% or anything near that.  On top of that, streaming media is far more prevalent now than it was a four years ago and I have no idea how they would figure ratings for it.  Sure CN can't be terribly happy about the drop but they don't seem to be complaining either.

The last two celebrations have had awesome buzz about the show and DF talks about the show as if it still has a green light to proceed past season 5.  Yes, it will come to an end but I have not seen the hard evidence that suggests the show is in trouble.  Hasbro shifting to focus on the 3d rerelease makes some sense as to the low profile.

I find the lack of talk about AOTC 3D to be more interesting.  After all, it was SW Day.

When are the site Q and As?  Seems to me that there are lots of questions that could have been asked and were not.  Especially about MH and CW, CW more from my perspective.  I wonder if they are going to squeeze in another Vintage assortment at the end to get those hard to find figs out.  Seems like a lot of retail space to fill between now and Spring 2013.

And yes on the "ten-minute site 1-on-1s".  Those should be interesting.   ::)

So Are the 10 minute 1 on 1s for all sites or just the major ones.  I imagine JediDefender is one.

So does Hasbro have a presentation or are they just doing the 10 minute one on ones with the major sites?  Or is it both?

What's the deal with a 3 hour director's cut coming out later this summer?

Not sure where else to post this.  Warwick Davis stars in the new Ricky Gervais show on HBO.  It's odd British humor but a few funny moments, especially with Liam Neesom.

Finished my TPM vintage sets by picking up Sidious and Vos openers at TRU thanks to their sale.  :)

TRU sale hooked me up big time last week.  I was able to return my entire January purchase from Walmart to save the 30%.  A bit of a hassle, but it was worth it in my opinion.  Especially with a few free Fighter Pods and Maul USBs thrown in.

I bought extras for the MN guys and they seem to be covered.  They are headed back to the store on Monday unless I can help someone else out.

I know that last season the show took a hit in the ratings, probably due to the unevenness of the show, but its ratings have made a decent comeback.  Almost 2 million viewers for a Friday night show doesn't seem that bad by cable standards, but I am sure the show costs a lot more than an episode of Storage Wars.  I have really come to love this line and I am quite disappointed in the way Hasbro just bailed on it this year.  They have done some amazing things in the show and I would love to see figures made of many of the characters they have introduced us to.

I can live with a smaller line, and lord knows my wallet can.  But it should be a great line then, and this year is not that.  It is disappointing to read that they will not re-release some of the harder to find characters.  It would be nice if Hasbro would just open up about what is going on with everything, from the management of the brand to the distribution issues.

The show is not going to make it through the 3D re-releases, and I am wondering what the benchmark is for considering that experiment a success.  My guess is that they run 6 or 7 seasons and call it quits at that point.  I appreciate what Filoni has done and how he has brought a fans perspective to the series.  I can only hope we get some really good CW figures between now and then.

The Vintage Collection is worth the scale back for 2012, but if they keep dragging out ten year molds to clog the pegs in the Movie Heroes line, then I hope they revisit their decisions about the CW.

After watching The Box, I couldn't help but wish for one of those Target Exclusive gift sets designed to look like the Box and containing all of the characters from the episode.  Sure it would run at least $100 but it should would be cool looking.  Too bad Hasbro seems intent on ignoring CW.
