I read the first Harry Potter (the Sorceror's Stone, I think?) and I...well, I didn't hate it. It was quite enjoyable, but I just wasn't very interested in reading the rest of the books in the series. I do, however, think it's great that HP has inspired millions of kids to discover and learn the joys of reading. When these kids get older, they'll be more intelligent and imaginative; are you saying that's not a good thing, DG?
