I was really close to 'Papa', they lived on the same estate as us for 6 years, so the first 6 years of my life they were just a few steps away. I suppose that's what his passing when I was ten was so hard. One year he's cooking out and the next he's just gone. Cancer is a bitch. So, I guess that's why this movie touched a lot of people that way. We can all relate to it on some level.
