A good free/cheap GIF Animator?

Anyone have experience with a good free (or at least really cheap) GIF Animator program?  I was using Ulead, but my trial expired and I don't use it enough to pony up $50 for it.

I know this is an old thread but I wanted to throw out a thanks to Dale.  This site works great for me and doesn't cost a damn thing.  ;D
