2022 Black Series 6" Stormtrooper George Lucas

Announced at StarWars.com today -

"StarWars.com is thrilled to reveal that George Lucas, the legendary creator of Star Wars, will join Hasbro’s vaunted 6-inch Star Wars: The Black Series line of action figures. Created in celebration of Lucasfilm’s 50th anniversary and in tribute to its founder, the figure cleverly depicts Lucas in stormtrooper armor and comes with a removable helmet and blaster. Lucas reports in for duty in 2022."

Pre-orders open on Wednesday, September 29, at 1 p.m. ET on Amazon (link not yet active - goes live on 9/29)

It went live on Amazon for about a minute, I tried to add it to my cart but it wouldn't go through.  Refresh the page and it would go unavailable.  Refreshed again and it was live.  After the third try it showed two in my cart, I went to my cart and it was empty.

You would think Amazon would have their **** together for something like this.

The StarWars.com story that announced it only had the Amazon link and didn't mention it was a fan channel that would be at Amazon, EE, Pulse, Dorkside, etc.  I'm guessing a lot of people didn't realize and many casual fans just bombed that Amazon link at pre-order time.

It is still in-stock at Pulse, EE, etc.

edit: of course, as soon as I hit "post" it's now sold out at HasbroPulse too. :P

Yeah, I heard they were shipping so I canceled my Dorkside preorder and ordered it from Amazon instead, with Free Shipping, and he arrived yesterday in a nice sturdy box.  :)
