My Mavica records onto discs as well - small CD-R discs - but it also has a USB output slot as well...

Smarty, I'm a little stumped on the parts that you used, but I like it!  I think I see some Grievous parts, but other than that I'm not sure.

He really, really looks like a droid that you would't want to piss off... I might suggest a bit of dry brushing to give him more of a "worn" look.

Awesome job!

Good job man!  Is that an Ep. I 3po head?

I agree with CHEWIE - a bit of drybrushing would be cool to see.  Still, great use of parts (whatever they are!) - I think it turned out very well  8)

I like the yellow one on the left. Is that a CORPS head? What ever it is I really like your choice of parts, the EV-9D9 torso looks cool yellow and it is a good match with th SBD arms and IG-88 legs. The other guy is pretty good looking too. What parts did you use?

What kinds of droids are these?

The head is actually from a GI Joe head from a Techno Viper.  Back a long time ago, I cannibalized that figure (probably over 15 years ago now), and for some reason kept the head.  Literally around 1997 I almost put it on the EV9D9 body but never got around to it.  It had been sitting in a box for years until today.

The other one is just a repainted Star Tours droid.  I think that's a good design by them.

Chewie, how do you get that kind of finish on the super battle droid arms?

Great droids CHEWIE!
That EV-IG-SBD-Techno Viper Droid is awesome!  It reminds me kind of those "robot" soldiers from Black Hole.   Do all of those droid parts just fit together or did you have to do some tweaking?  Great design!
Your repaint of the Star Tours Droid is obviously much better than hasbro's!  I like the design as well, I might have to try repainting him as well.

All right, I'm going to submit my first entry for this month's challenge since you guys got to see the work in progress anyway. I should have one or two of his buddies finished by the end of the month's big reveal.

Dri'gin Kal is a Bith Bounty Hunter, who travels with a small group of mercenaries led by a Mandalorian named Kallys Fenn. Typically, Dri'gin plays the role of softening up the enemy by hammering their defenses with his hand held plasma throwers, or covering their withdrawal with a steady barrage of cover fire. Dri'gin is also adept with smaller weapons, as his natural Bith dexterity make him rather quick on the draw and a crack shot.

Hope you guys like him. I added a control box to the chest for his plasma thrower, scarring to the head as was suggested by you guys, and a rebreather for when the fighting gets nasty. I also will be adding some sonic protectors to his ears as was suggested, just as soon as I find a suitable piece to cannabalize for parts.

Shame on you for post it this early! :P

It is so good that you can get away with it though. :P I elaborated more in your other thread. I really like this guy, I'll hold off adding him until later in the month and until you have the updated pictures of him. Excellent work so far, it will be hard to top this. I like the backstory a lot as well. :)

Great job DD!   I love the addition of the rebreather and the scarring looks very cool.  Great use of parts too, he definitely looks tough  8)
