The result is very interesting.

Seeing as how Sideshow would eventually make a Padme, it seems awfully convenient that they could reuse the head sculpt numerous times, whereas the other characters would be a one-shot deal.

Wow, I don't know how many of you had the chance to go to Sideshow's podcast yet and get a look at the sculpt but it is fantastic!!  It's going to be a fantastic figure if the paint aps are done right (and I have to believe that SS will not screw it up).

I downloaded the podcast anf finally after the 2-3hours it took, it played but no video.  Damn dial up. \

Ok, so i finally saw a picture of the head sculp on another site, and I have to say it really looks like Natalie Portman. Very nice, great work n their part.

I'm looking forward to seeing more of Padme, so far I like what I see in the sculpt.

At least they did not make her throw up at the end from all that spinning.  This will be a figure I need to pass on.  However, it will probably turn out great.  I hope it does for those of you interested in this.

I really thought they would make it look like the Clone Wars version instead of looking like Natalie Portman. I actually got a little disappointed that they did this. Still a good likeness, though we'll see after the paint is applied.

Sideshow answered a question about Padme. They said they got some of the kinks out. My guess is she will be nnounced soon. They also mentioned Darth Vader. I think he will make it out by the end of the year.

In all honesty, I forgot all about her  .  I didn't know about any kinks so I am happy to hear (and be reminded) that she might yet make it into my collection by year end.

Oh Happy Day!!  Now, I just have to make sure I am at a computer at 1:00pm on Thursday.   I really hope we can order more than one-I have no idea because I have never wanted more than one doll on any order I've placed before.  I'd like to snag an extra for customizing.....

Wow, they sprung this preorder on us quickly.  I was just thinking yesterday with the Mechno chair, Leia Boushh and Asajj all currently shipping on shipping soon, that we were getting low on preorders again.
