I got one...  Kinda wanting a 2nd though.  It's not a bad figure honestly.  The price though....  Even on a group order, they're coming in at a butt-reaming $17 each after shipping.  Sheesh.

In the photos at SWShop.com,. it still has the SDCC logo on it so the assumption is that it's still a go for this year's con.

I think that is why the shipping date is August (after the con is over).

If it's still a con exclusive it would be nice if they'd let us pick it up at the con. Could at least save on shipping and make the cost a little more bearable.

Maybe because they decided they would use the 501st Stormie as the SDCC exclusive instead of the Blackhole Stormie...

Yeah, it's pretty clear that for some reason they decided to switch them up - make the 501st the Convention exclusive instead of this one.

My question was meant as more of a "why do you think they decided to switch the SDCC exclusive to the 501st instead of this one?"

It's obvious from the carded photo that it was originally going to be the SDCC item (otherwise why have the SDCC logo on the package  ).  Why abandon it in favor of the 501st?

That makes sense. They also may have figured that more people want the Shadow Trooper, and aren't able to make the trip to SDCC to get one. Either way, they're still getting us to buy $15 figures.
