One of the things that vexes me (cue Joaquin Phoenix voice) is that since this rumor surfaced on "the other site," there has been nothing but universal eye-rolling and disbelief from not just the Unleashed collectors, but also people who don't even buy the figures normally. Yes, there have been figures that warmed pegs from the line (Hoth Luke, Bossk, Tusken, reissue of Mace), but that is true for any line Hasbro does. If they're going to use the rationale that Anakin and Obi-Wan are (unjustly) sitting on pegs too long as reason for cancellation, then why don't they cancel the Force Battlers line for the same reason? All I see when I go into any retailer is Obi-Wan and Anakin FBs, and in at least 10 times the amount as the Unleashed figures.
While we're at it, let's cancel the basic action figure line too, since those Neimoidian Warriors and Mas Ameddas are just indicative of Star Wars in general not selling. Let's just do Jedi Force figures from here on out, since they sell so well compared to the other lines.

I don't care what excuse Hasbro gives, this is simply put the most illogical cancellation of a line in their history of having the license. The 12" line they killed themselves because they wouldn't take any risks with it, did subpar work on the figures they did release, and the minor characters they did wouldn't even appeal to the hardcore fans (Garindan? WTF?). So, they cancel that line because of "a lack of interest."
Unleashed figures are, arguably, the most popular non-4" line that Hasbro has done for SW in the modern era. There is more demand for these figures on Ebay than any other SW line, including the 4" figures (when you can get nearly any 4" figure from the last ten years for retail or below, but can't get any Unleashed, even the pegwarmers like Jango, for any less than original retail if you're lucky, that should tell them something). Why they would choose to cancel such a popular line at what is arguably the height of its popularity, and a swell of demand for older figures to be released so Ebay doesn't have to be an option, is mind-numblingly stupid.
Matt, I'm really depending on you to be the eyes, ears, and voice of the Rep...well, me, at the SDCC, and give Hasbro hell for this decision. An old friend used to refer to the Hasbro SW team as "crack smoking monkeys" and after a few years of sobriety, it seems that Hasbro has gone back to the junk.
