I didn't know Soundwave was in it.  A 4-foot tall Soundwave??!!  That's just ridiculous.

It actually works for the movie. It allows for some one on one human/robot fighting. Besides, when was the last time you saw a two ton boom box. :P

Can't say I like the robot Bubblebee design. Can't even tell he's suposed to be a camaro.

If that was an unnamed robot from an untitled movie, i'd be like dam that looks cool , but seeing as they have labelled it bumblebee from transformers  :P
This is gonna be the suckiest movie in the history of the world, oh and dont even get me started on the monstrosities that are called starscream and megatron
The problem with America is stupidity I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself

Why does everybody keep saying that this movie will suck ass?  I've stayed away from scripts or plots, but I actually like the design of the bot modes minus Screamer....Hello...It's been 20 years and no Megatron cannot be a sleek gun in this day in age (note: Hasbro would need to make a toy of this)  This movie can't be based on 80's vehicle/robot designs.  Things need to be updated to fit a new era.  So what if Michael Bay is directing this?  He's had some shining moments in the past (and some duds) but I'm hoping this movie will pull something off.  I'm just not sure it will be able to shine through with all the "other" huge flicks coming out next summer.  Time will tell.

Can you knock the animated version made 20 years ago?  I still cherish that movie as it brings back a feeling of nostalgia - for me at least.

I've seen snipets of the plot, that's why.  Without giving too much away, too many humans and not enough ass kicking robots.  And I'm sorry, those designs suck - Bumblebee is not a ******* Camaro, Megatron is not a ******* alien jet and Starscream doesn't have ******* guns for hands and an insect head.  And yes, I understand the need for an updated look, but they don't look anything remotely like their G1 counterparts (minus Prime).

Official Preview for 300

Wow.  From the preview, it looks like they are really trying to stick to the Miller-esque vibe a la Sin City.

300 is a fantastic piece of work by Miller, so I really hope that this turns out as well as Sin City did.  It would be a major let-down if the movie version turns out all crappy.   :-\

I saw the trailer as well and it looks fantastic! I'm not a follower of Miller's Graphic Novels but this interpretation doesn't look as if it will disappoint.

Last night I caught the Departed. Excellent movie! Best one I've seen this year so far. Drop what you're doing and go see it right now, you won't regret it. ;D

I saw Pan's Labrynth last night. Amazing film! Best way to describe it, A Little Princess meets Schindlers List. Don't take your kids.

Saw the Good German last night. Can't say that I recommend it. It was a great attempt at making a very stylized movie, but it wound up trying to incorporate two styles that didn't compliment each-other. Great cinematography though.

Saw Children of Men last night. Amazing film. Simple, straight forward story that was just stunning visually. Lots of long, well blocked takes and one of the few films so far that should be in academy award consideration this year.

Saw For Your Consideration earlier today. Good, but not as good as any of the other Guest films, like Best In Show or Waiting For Guffman.

I saw For Your Consideration as well. I don't know if I could say if it was better or worse than the others. It still has that unique Christopher guest feel.

Also saw The Fountain and Casino Royal on the same day.

Saw Flags Of Our Fathers last night. Haven't read the book, so I can't really compare it to it, but thought it was excellent.
