I sure hope they don't have all but the Han set at retail and you have to get that one online.
How much a pain in the arss would that be.

Curto has added the Han/R-3PO set to the photo archives at RS.  I guess I'm glad I decided to skip it.  The R-3PO is as candy apple red and shiny as he appeared in early photos, and the hood-up Han head is not sculpted as well as I thought (in fact, I think the alternate head shown from the fair/convention before VTAC came out was a different and better one).  I'll still get the battlepack with the brown coat version, but I'm a tad disappointed in the look.

I think things are a bit wonky with these on the WalMart website - the Han set reads "Not Sold in Stores" but you can buy it online.

The rest of the sets say that they won't be sold online, yet they also say they won't be sold in stores. Huh? In order to sell it, it either has to be online or in stores, it can't be neither. Unless they're going to mass-drop them from a plane or something.  :P

They won't be sold in stores...must mean they are doing a massive free giveaway then!   ;D

Finally a price rollback from that smiling yellow prick that only ever knocks $.50 off the vintage figures and calls it "clearance".  ::)  I hate that smiley face.

Better than stuff on clearance for full price which happens all the time at my stores.

FYI - WM has placed my order on backorder for the 2 Han sets I ordered. As expected it was a fluke, these cases are going to ship in packs of 12 x2 of each not a case pack of Hans.

I picked up mine today as well from my Wal-Mart (used the Site to Store) as it was also the non-vac version. I like the Saga version better I think, but that Han is purty!

Has it been proven that the vac-metal red protocol droid in the pic that is floating around is indeed an R-3PO variant?  Like, have any packaged pics shown up to support that rumor?

I ask because I've heard two versions of the "vac-metal red protocol droid" rumor...

#1 - The vac-metal red protocol droid is a variant for the R-3PO in the Wal-Mart 2-Pack
or
#2 - The vac-metal red protocol droid is actually TC-4, the "Build a Droid" figure from TLC Wave 3.

So... which is it?  Anyone?   ???

I dunno... guess we'll find out what it is... I'd guess it's more likely to be a build-a-droid pack in, but that's just speculation on my part.

I can't decide if he looks more or less film-accurate compared to my custom version.  What do you think?

LOL, the first one is the production figure and the second one is mine.  You can see the watermark on the first one.  Looking at the production one more and more, I'm starting to appreciate it.  Mine is just the Saga Han head on the VTAC body.
