Jedi Starfighter
« on: July 9, 2003, 11:04 PM »
I must tell you all that I have the most awesome wife!  She came home today with two brand new items for me.  One of them was the Destroyer Droid Battle Launcher, but the other item she got me was the newly painted Clone Wars Jedi Starfighter!  I haven't taken it out of the box (which is something I might end up doing), but the box design is sweet!  I don't care if this is the exact same ship from the Saga line, because the paint job on this is incredible.  I really like that "blue/aqua" color on it.  Looks very sharp.  Here are links to the pictures of my brand new Jedi Starfighter...

I'm glad someone else noticed how great this packaging looks!

For a corrugated box, this is pretty cool. Nice branding and the illustration rocks, but the thing that caught my eye was the spot varnish, giving select elements a glossy sheen. Very nice!

Bravo to Hasbro's art department!  ;D

I will have to keep my ever watchful eyes open for this item. I want the new Starfighter.

On the box, does it show or say what Jedi flies it?

If not I will probably put in a Plo Koon.

It doesn't say anything about who is the one that's suppose to be flying this ship.  Obviously some kind of Jedi would be flying it, but I read somewhere on the Net that Clone Troopers were suppose to fly the blue Starfighters.  That doesn't make sense though if it's a "Jedi Starfighter."

If I ever get this (doubt it, but you never know) I'll put one of my custom Jedi in there.

Honestly, how many Jedi figures could fit into that cockpit?

Not sure, but I guess you would just have to keep on trying until you found one that fits.

Well the new Clone Wars Obi-Wan says Pilot. So I am guessing he will fit.

I have Adi Gallia in my E2 Star Fighter just like in the video game. :)

Anakin is also supposed to be a pilot version, but he's already got his own Starfighter.  Perhaps the Saesee Tiin will be a pilot version?  He's supposed to be one of the best pilots of the Jedi Order.

As of now, I've got 2 SAGA Jedi Starfighters, one with Obi-Wan, and the other with Adi Gallia.  I'm trying to figure out who to put in my Clone Wars Jedi Starfighter.

Same here, Nicklab. Obi-Wan's is slated for battle damage (when I get a spare weekend) while Adi's will remain factory fresh.

But I'm hoping that one of the two Jedi released for Clone Wars WON'T be a reissue, rather a new sculpt specifically for the starfighter.

I have to say that for someone who dosen't like collecting SW vehicles, I was so tempted to buy this one.  I Love the packaging, the color, everything.  I know it is exactly the same one from EP2 but who cares.  I really had to control myself not to buy it (and I am glad I did becuse the next store I went to on my run had 12, yes 12 new figs I had not seen -Ashla & Chian, Red BD, Lama Su, padme Wedding, Coleman, Wat, Han, Leia, Darth, aalya, c3po, and snowtrooper).  BUt I stood there oogling over the vehicle.  It is just visually inpmressive.  I can't wait to see the rolling tank launcher thins (sorry forgot the name).  Also I like the droid tank especially the destroyed droid in the back.  pretty cool.  if this is sign to come of the new figs and CW line I am siked.  Bring it on.
