They are also putting siding on the house. The lower half will be rockwork.

I've been gone at Scout Camp with my son so I will catch you up on progress. First we have a front door now!



and a new side garage door.


The old family room wall has been removed. Now the room is eight feet deeper.


This is our new food storage, utility and coat closets.


The old living room wall and door have been removed making the space alot bigger!



Fred gets a ladder to the attic in his new room!


Electical and FIOS panels added. The old gas line and eletricial still popup in the middle of the office.



Kitchen cabinets have been ordered. Kitchen walls are being rebuilt.

Washer and dryer swapped and put on stand. This is because the doors use to open the wrong way.

Drywall has been installed all over the house. Mudding and texture should be going in this week.

My favorite thing is the garage is now drywalled for the first time.

Is this an easy fix? Just seems like they got ahead of themselves.

Sure. They just disconnect the eletrical and pull the cable out from underground and put it into the new electrical box. Same with the gas line. The new gas and electrical box are only about three feet away. We just have to wait for the Gas Company and Edison to do it.

They have started stucoing the house. The first coat is on. They have to wait a week for the second coat. That should be happening now. The lower part of front of the house will be stonework. Kitchen cabinets are ready to be installed. After that comes flooring and counter tops. Light fixtures are being bought and tile has been selected for the new shower.

This where I write a lot of checks to lots of people.

This has been interesting to watch, shows difference in how things are done in different countries.
I think the only thing we do the same so far has been putting the frames up and the electrical

What happens with that coating on the outside of the lower part of the house?

Good question. Here is the new rock work on the lower half of the house. The siding and trim have been painted. The stuco in the back of the house will be painted next week.

I've been following the progress bit by bit, but WOW!  I didn't realize you were doing a complete renovation.  The house looks awesome.  When do you think you'll be done?
