"Estimated delivery: Dec. 6, 2012 - Dec. 8, 2012"

The ****?!

Pre-order.  The wave doesn't hit until the end of November.  I don't mind the wait, really.

I came out of retirement for this wave, since I've been waiting for a Nein Numb forever (still pissed about the non-removable vest, but what are ya gonna do?) and decided to pick up the OT guys, plus 2 ERGs.  I'd love to wind up with 6 of them somehow, but I'm not holding my breath.

I went ahead and ordered one of each on Amazon... $12.99 is outrageous, but Target by me is $11.49 and tax, so it's like $0.35 each more than in stores.

Putting things in perspective, $12.99 isn't too bad of a price to pay for any vintage figure released post-TPM.  I mean, sure, Walmart or Target might have them priced at $10-$11 retail, but how many times have you seen anything beyond TPM vintage hanging on the pegs?

Are they charging the cards at amazon for the pre-orders?

Nope, not charged until the item is in stock and ships

And given that these are online exclusives, it stands to reason there will be something of a premium.

But it's still ridiculous (though I made my wife log in on her account and get 2 ERGs in addition to everything I ordered because I'm Hasbro's bitch).

Per the front page, Hasbro has confirmed that this is online only...

They forgot to mention EBay.com.  Which is where I've had to buy more figures lately than anywhere else.

It is the reason I have 2 DSTs instead on none.

Wow. Just wow. Incredible to think how badly one wave screwed up the entire year.

Yeah.  The ripple effect of that overstock of the TPM wave has been pretty catastrophic.  And given what Hasbro showed about 2013 at SDCC, it looks like they're not going to go all-out in support of AOTC in 3-D.  The potential for a wave (or more) of AOTC themed figures to hold up everything else from shipping to retail is not something that I think anyone wants to see.

You should really start trolling Amazon for these... I've bought probably the last 4 waves there.  $12.99 each, but if you have Prime there's free shipping and no tax (if Texas isn't collecting?).  I don't think I've found a new figure in stores since the Phantom Menace wave.  The prices jump around on Amazon, but if you're patient, you can have them for $12.99 or less.  Shae Vizla or whatever her name is, is the only one I haven't managed to pick up for that price yet.

I knew the TPM wave was going to **** up the distribution. I was the same thing last time we had TPM figures clogging the pegs.

You're right Lando, and I remember how hard that last wave of TPM (Sio Bibble/TC-14 wave) was to find.  It was in limited supply, just like this wave will be, but worse.

I broke down and went the Amazon.com way.  Better than buying a whole case I guess.  Now to search for the other 40 figures I could not find at retail  :)
