I'm getting to the point where I want to start waiting, they keep putting the same figures in 2-packs and stuff. Now there's a 3 pack of Mandalorians with a Paz Vizla in it...

Thanks everyone, sincerely. It was days after my 50th birthday, such a wake up call for what the rest of my life means to me.

I did not intend to derail the thread!!

Nice!

Not that I know of.  ;D

I read the forum here in "Recent Posts" mode, so the boundaries between threads are negligible. Still, I try to respond to the correct replies and up until yesterday I have always done a good job!

As far as the Epic Hero line, I bought Luke and a couple Stormtroopers, but I'm not excited about jumping into a Mandalorian line as this seems to be morphing into. Wal Marts seem to stock them as solid cases of individual figures and have been moving product with discounts and clearance prices, to a level I would call it a success so far. Target seems to stock it as assortment cases that are usually wiped out on any given day. The deluxe size seems to move slower. The line is probably not for me, I would be more plugged in to OT stuff.

Saw the new Darth Maul with the armor today at Walmart.

They wanted $19.84 plus tax for it.

Which is crazy.

I have been trying to get my mind around how that Maul pack warrants a spot in the Build-Up assortment with the 2-packs, and the only rationalization I can come to is that the 2 packs didn't cost out as cheap as they had initially planned, so a single figure pack is there to balance out the whole assortment. And Maul in an alternate costume was was determined to be enough of a draw.

I would be interested to know if he was intended to be half of a 2 pack originally, and who the other half might have been planned as?

Yeah I mean, that could be it.  But also ouch... I keep debating on if I need to collect every variant because they're adding accessories in multipacks and vehicles and to this point I've been able to resist that.  I don't think I want to use more shelf space and spend more money because my Bo-Katan or Mando doesn't have a jetpack or because my Gideon doesn't have a flame thrower.

Speaking of Bo-Katan, this one made me laugh a lot.

Went into Ross yesterday and they had a bunch of Epic Heroes Mandos…

$5.49 each.

More than they charge for TVC.  Lolz.

Saw a handful of the Epic Mando today at a local Ross for $3.99. So your mileage may vary.

I see Walmart rolled back the price on Darth Maul to $12.88. Keep rolling, lol

Next wave...  of course this line would get SM-33 before BS6" or TVC did.   ::)  Not sure what is going on with the lightsabers there either... interesting design choice.

Yeah this line is getting worse and worse every time they show new product.  I’m really hung up about if I should keep collecting them or convince myself that 4” scale is not 3.75” scale and scrap the endeavor.  I haven’t been able to make a decision yet so by default I’m grabbing them to keep the collection complete and I feel gross every time I open one.
