If I only had some Andor figures it would make a great Ferix / Rix Road background…

I got an email from Amazon saying this is expected mid April now... quite a bit earlier than the September estimate from when I ordered.

Looking forward to this one.

I really have to get my ANH/Tatooine project up and running to start mapping out where to put the HasLab Cantina and these Streets playsets (I think I have 3 pre-ordered so far) and all the associated scenes set-up.

(I say this of course, while staring at my completely boxed The Ghost that I haven't found time to open or set-up yet either :().

The Cantina thing is giving me hives… my current plan is to break it into pieces and use it in 12” deep shelves… but there isn’t exactly space there for it.  So I’m planning on reworking all these shelves (there are 160’ of them) to condense some areas where Hasbro is unlikely to make lots of new product, and free up space for that area.

It’s going to be a colossal amount of work.

April 2 now for Pulse…

I think I’m going to buy a second one to keep with Mos Espa… so whatever.

Got a shipping notice from EE today saying two of these are on the way to me.

Then, a little bit later, I got an email from Amazon saying the one I pre-ordered there will be here Wednesday 4/2.

I got the notification from Amazon that this is on the way.  And EE has my case of Snowtroopers shipping.  It seems like the surge in releases is beginning again.

Another good, but not great set. Overall, the sculpt was great and I like the included accessories/figure, but I have some gripes. 1) By far, the biggest detractor for me is the completely flat and lifeless paint application that has affected so many other offerings in TVC lately. 2) the connection points are somewhat unsightly and seem like they should be able to be hidden by the tall exaust accesessoy, but they can't 3) While it is cool that you get two versions of stairs to choose from, the large size makes it so that the wall cannot go directly against the back of the shelf. 4) The droid can be removed, but leaves an unsightly little nubbin behind. 5) I kind of wish we had gotten a street-level door matching the one that 3PO and R2 hide in. 6) The sculpt inside the archway lacks any texture.

I decided to try and fix some of these issues myself. I did a full repaint of the entire set, took a saw to the center of the stairs so that the facade can sit against the back of a shelf, and removed and plugged the droid ports. Overall, I'm thrilled with how it turned out, even if the walls are a bit dark. In the future, I may do more to hide the connection points and droid ports, but am happy with it for now. If this set ever makes it to clearance, I'll probably pick up a few more.
