How's Star Wars Selling in Your Area?

i cant tell. the pegs never have anything on them, but whatever they do have on them (saying one week we're lucky and they have 1 action figure left) it stays on the pegs for months.

You can't tell by the pegs here because toy shops in the UK don't sell Star Wars figures (apart from Saga KE Jango, Yoda, Anakin HD, and Palpatine).

eBay UK and online stores seem to be doing well though. Specialist stores have good stocks of all the newest figures but that might have something to do with their prices

Well, after shopping this weekend...things must still be selling well..and I'm always a day late....or they aren't getting product.  A newer "Greatland" Target that we frequent has been my best bet for new stuff this year, but all they had for the past two weeks is some Animated Clone Wars figures and a lone R-3PO.  Then, a trip to TRU revealed the majority of the Bail Organa wave and another 4 R-3POs.  I must always miss my chance at that elusive Hoth Luke (and Wampa for that matter).  I have only seen the Ultra figures show up once, they aren't at any of the stores near us now.  I'm about ready to go the ebay route, but trying to use some patience .

For the most part Star Wars is selling really well here in Mid-Michigan. Except KB, pretty much everyone is either mostly empty or has new figures on the pegs. These stores include Target, Wal*Mart, Meijer and even TRU. Both TRU stores near me have had their pegs filled with the R1-G4 wave to the point that they can't sell them all... Cool! Meijer's has been the place to find the "repack" figures as well as the Tatooine and Hoth waves. Wal*Mart stocks far less frequently but when they do it's ussually one of the last two Luke waves. Target is a different story however. The pegs alotted for the new Animated Clone Wars figures have been filled since their debut, unfortunately, since the sale on began on the 03' basic figures all of the basic figure pegs have been empty save a few Hoth wave figures here and there.

Truth be told, with the exception of a couple of the "repack" figures and Hoth Han's, I'm actually having the easiest time finding new stuff that I've had in recent memory. Which is a darn good thing in this hobby.

It's hard to say, really.  Up until the last couple of days, Star Wars figures were virtually non-existant in my area, which is pretty damned rare considering I've got about 20 stores that are usually pretty well stocked with it within an hour of me.

TRU was the last man standing for most of January.  They've had the Bail and Achk-Med waves hanging around for a while, selling fairly slowly.

But all the local Targets clearanced EVERYTHING out right after Christmas, and have apparently not restocked since - until this past weekend that is.  The Animated figures have been hanging around a little here and there, but seem to be selling through.  A couple Ultra figures around too, but that was about it!  But it looks and sounds like the new 2004 stuff is finally starting to trickle out now, so that'll obviously sell pretty well for several weeks, until everyone's had their fill.

As for the 4 Walmarts nearby - NADA.  They all completely quit selling Star Wars over a year ago.  I just can't figure it out...  

KB's crap doesn't move.  Still tons of 4/23/02 Saga stuff there.  They'll get the occasional new cases in about once every couple months, but they've priced them at $6.99, so they usually sit for quite a while as well.

But if the stores would just stock some new stuff, I'm pretty sure it would still sell pretty well.

Target right now only has the animated clone wars wave 1 on the pegs. My KB sucks cause it charges $7 for new figures and there's only about one on pegs with 2002 figures. Great price though for the 2002 at only $2-3. TRU is so so, as they get different waves sometimes. Walmart is the worst. I went there three times in a month and the same figures had not moved. Target is, I think the best place to buy figures.

I'm not sure, really. Some stuff is here, while other stuff is missing, meaning that either people are actually buying SW stuff, or that the stores just aren't ordering certain figures.

One local Wal-Mart decided to restock with lots and lots of Yoda and Padawans, Barriss, and Aayla all on new cards. And here I was looking forward to the Jabba and Yavin waves.

What ships with these figures? I'd hate to think I missed the new waves.

After shopping this weekend, it seems that Star Wars continues to sell pretty well around here....either that or they aren't stocking anything .  The Target we frequent (which is where I have had any finds this year), is almost always empty-pegged anymore.  This weekend, they had one R-3PO, as well as a re-packed SC Anakin.  They did have quite a bit of the Clone Wars Animated line too.  I continue to be surprised at how well the regular CW line must have sold, because you can't find it anywhere around here anymore.

The only figs I see sitting a lot now is the Bail Organa wave (the TRU closest to us has quite a bit).  Otherwise, it seems as if you have to have pretty good timing to find things.  Also, as far as Ultra goes, it really isn't showing up anywhere anymore.  I found a lone Riekaan and 3PO back in December/early Jan...and that has been it.  With some help from Matt, I was able to get the Wampa too.

I'm not sure if it is a distribution thing, or the fact that everything is selling out as soon as it is stocked.  Either way, it has me concerned for the Vintage OTC figs later this year.  After seeing some more pics this weekend of Wave 2, it just reaffirms my opinion that I don't want to miss out on these.  It might be time to break down and preorder stuff again, we'll see.

I echo Jesse's sentiments for my side of Pennsylvania.

The Saga repacks just started showing up and the animated figures are starting to warm the pegs. I saw the remnants of the Tatooine wave a while back and scooped up Jedi Luke and Bartoo-Detoo, but I've seen nothing new since, even though there have been reports of new figures all around my area (just not IN it).

I think they are selling very well, depending on how much attention retailers can give them.

Target's number one.  After they clearanced everything away at the beginning of the year, I've seen the subsequent waves sell very well.  All I see hanging around is the Rebel Hoth trooper.  The animated figures series 1 and 2 are both starting to pile up though.

Wal-mart is the big question.  After a big drought, they got some repacks in, and then finally some of the Gold leader and Dodonna assortment, but then they all disappeared again.  I keep hoping they'll come through in the next few weeks.

TRU has been selling a decent assortment, with a few pegwarmers filling up space.

The deluxe stuff has been selling out frequently around here.

Swung by a backwater Wal Mart this morning on the way back to work...lets just say the pegs were plum full of Clone Wars Anakin and Yoda...they won't be getting anything in for a long, long time

Finally found Jabba and the Denizens at K-Mart, along with some remnants of the HOF wave.

Target sold out of and quickly restocked the Cup and Figure sets. If only they restocked figures that quickly...
