Just wanted to introduce myself to the population here at JD after lurking for a few weeks and finally registering about five minutes ago.
Anyway, I'm Mike, and I've been a SW fan/collector for most of my life. While I've not been terribly active on any of the WWW forums, I do have a long history of posting to the various SW collecting Usenet groups (since around 1996) so while I'm a newbie, I guess I'm not in other ways.
I guess I'm one of the influx of people that are tired of the way other forums handle things and wanted to hang out somewhere that actually seemed to care about the community it established. I had registered at this other site a long time ago but never broke 45 posts because I just didn't feel comfortable. Recent events have just made me feel even less so there. So, I'm just here to read everyone's thoughts, maybe post once in a blue moon, and above all have a good time talking with like-minded people.
So, I guess this is my hello to all of you!
