Well it looks like the Lakers will make the playoffs, nagnabbit.  That doesn't mean and early first round exit against the road tough Spurs won't be in order.

I don't think they have any chance of making it higher than a 6 seed with 16 games left and 4 behind the Wolves and Blazers...

I will relent that perhaps Kobe is now ahead of KG in the MVP race but Tim Duncan and T-Mac also deserve some consideration

Wow, that's some surprising acknowledgement from one of the Kid's not so favorite fans...

Oddly enough, I was just starting to think the opposite over the last couple of weeks.  I was starting to think that KG was probably the MVP front runner at this point.  Especially now that Shaq's decided to finally step up and get involved with things, to the point where the spotlight isn't quite as focused on Kobe now, not to mention his stats have fallen off quite a lot since his 40 point streak ended a few weeks ago.  But yeah, T-Mac and Duncan should definitely make a good battle for third place though...

I still think the Lakers will slip past the Wolves for that 5 spot though.  Hopefully the Blazers will find another way to internally combust as well.  They ALWAYS find a way to fall apart late in the season.

Heck, even Brent's boys in the East are makin' a move, now that all the heavy weights out there have been sliding dramatically out there over the past month.  I'd still love to rekindle that old Lakers vs. Celtics rivalry!   :)  I guess that tomorrow night will do for now though.

Hey there, I won't chicken out, I'll just happen to be on an airplane on my way to Madison.  I may not be able to come in here for a couple of days to heap the abuse on to you that you will so richly  deserve, so hopefully Scott will be a temporary Celtics fan for me tomorrow.

Did anyone here have plans to see the xmas game at abc; Heat Vs. Lakers. This game sounds good when the season start, right now this game sucks to the max.
