Ladainian Tomlinson

Tomlinson goes first pick in many cases, I don't think there's much need to research that one!

We really have to speed this up.  Does everyone have IM?  Mine Y2Jay2525 on AOL if we want to chat about the draft that way.

I admit it will be slow, what we did for the Baseball draft was schedule a night or two to pound out a good 5-10 rounds at a time, might be tough to get 14 people together to do that though :)

Nah, I'm not on it :-[  I think Scott's intent is that it will take a while.  It would be near impossible for me to sit through a draft online anyway, between work and family.  Sorry. (edit,  yup, I thunked right)

I PM'd Famine right after my pick.

Actually, according to the way we're drafting, you don't want to draft a Defensive player.  We're not drafting individual defensive players, only team defenses.

Yeah I don't think this pick counts.  You can select "New York Giants" for the defensive slot since Strahan is part of it if that's what you want, but otherwise you probably want to go with a QB, RB, TE, Kicker or WR.

Famine, pick again.

Well, it's midnight, and I'm going to bed.  I've got 6th pick here in the 1st round and I'll be posting it today, Tuesday August 24th by 7:00 PM EST assuming Famine irons out that little mishap and Mosnab posts his pick.

Until then.

Do we pick defenses any time we want (on our turn of course) or is there a separate round at the end to pick a defense?

okay, this is gonna sound like a stupid question, but how and when will these players actually be added to our teams at yahoo if all we're doing is posting them here?

Zod - Defenses are mixed in with your regular picks... in other words, don't wait until the endor ou'll get junk.

Dave - Scott keeps track of everything and then he has to manually assign players to your team at Yahoo.  Trust that it will all work.  Everything we fine when we tried this for JD.com Fant Baseball this year...

Gotcha.  And one more question...sorry if it's been covered...

How many rounds are there?

This is my first time playing FF so I'm a little in the dark when it comes to the strategy of this...  We need WR, QB, RB and the like yes?  The idea is to have multiples so you can choose who to start right?  Does wanting multiples apply to defenses as well?

Zod, there are a total of 20 rounds, and you can view the picks for each round here.  Also, you can view more details about the settings of this league by clicking here.
