Comic Jonathan Winters dies at 87

Also Peter Reveen, hypnotist popular with Maritime audiences, dead at 77

Peter was awesome, never laughed so must at his shows. So glad to be part of his stage show back on the last 70's when I got hypnotized in front of a sell out auditorium.  ;D

Sad to hear of Richard's passing.  He was one of the first Star Wars actors I ever met.  And he was always a pleasure to meet, with genuine charm and humor.  One of my fondest memories of Celebration 2 was being in the autograph area and seeing Richard and William Hootkins (Porkins) banter back and forth.  Hootkins was ripping on LeParmentier, saying "Hey Richard, look at what they brought me to sign" as he held up a picture of LeParmentier as Motti.  And all the while Richard was shouting "Don't get into Hootkins' line"!  It was comical, but it was just one of those things I'll remember about him.  But moreso, he was very generous with his time and thoughts when it came to meeting and chatting with fans.

He was originally from Pittsburgh's Squirrel Hill area (same as Mr. Rogers), and we (Cable & other PSWCS members) actually took him for pizza down to his favorite pizza place from when he was growing up, the last time he was in town for the toy show...  It was really fun hanging with him.  REALLY open guy, laughing and joking with us, talking quite easily with all of us.

I had a real newfound respect for him after that day...  Just a really normal guy you could just get along with and hang out, and have fun.  I appreciated that about him.

No Pat Summerall love guys?  I always thought that he was a good balance to offset Madden's delivery.

I was just about to post about Pat. Grew up listening to him and Madden commentating Cowboys games in the 90s, plus the Madden video games. Loved how he came back every year to do the Cotton Bowl since he lived in Dallas. RIP.

The cause of Richard LeParmentier's death isn't known yet, but I wouldn't rule out Disney.

I was shocked to read that he was married to Sarah Douglas, Ursa from Superman II and the evil queen from Conan II. She was always one of my favorite geek chicks.

Even odder, I read they starred together in People That Time Forgot, which was just on TV yesterday. I caught the end but he was unrecognizable.

Strange movie, she wasn't evil in that one.

I got a thing for evil queens...that didn't sound right....bad girls. I blame Batman, GI JOE, Flash Gordon (RIP Mariangela Melato).

It was sad news about both Le Parmentier and Summerall.

I met Le Parmentier at least twice and had fun chats with him both times.  He definitely liked to joke around and the signed photo of him as Motti is one of my favorite autos I have.

I was also a big Summerall fan because he was usually the go-to guy on all the Cowboys games so for years I always looked forward to hearing him on the games.

Now that sucks. :(

Lotta childhood memories formed by the work he did.
