Yeah, I figured you wouldn't be too thrilled waking up to that news today Scott. And it's all because the pathetic Blazers got their butts kicked by the lowly Clippers last night! If the Blazers had handled their business and won, they would've stayed ahead of us, and we'd be in the #6 spot playing Dallas in the first round.
I was actually hoping to stay in the #6 spot myself for a few reasons (none of which are related to be nervous about the Wolves). I actually wanted to have to beat the top 3 teams (record wise) in the league - Dallas, Sacramento, and San Antonio - to get to the Finals. Gotta beat the best to be the best, and I would've loved to get all 3 of them and put them in their place despite our subpar season this year. Guess I'll just have to settle for the Kings and Spurs instead.
Second, believe it or not, I actually like the T-Wolves and Garnett, and usually root them on to do well. I hate the rep Garnett's gotten due to all the first round exits they've had. It's not deserved. I was hoping they could smack Portland around in the first round this year so he could get that proverbial monkey off his back. Unfortunately, that's not going to happen AGAIN this year now, which sucks for them and KG.
Sorry Scott. I'll try to keep my smack talk to a minimum, 'cause I really like your guys and will feel bad for them having to get wiped by the Lakers steamroller right now...

Really sad to see Jordan hang it up last night as well.

I'm bummed that he didn't get a shot at making some noise in the wide open Eastern Conference playoffs. Would've been fun to watch. Oh well...
