This wave is a thing of beauty!! :o Count me in for the whole set! They all look fantastic, and Brainiac comes with a good cantina table!!!! I'll be buying a few of him just for more tables for sure. And they actually granted my wish of making R5-A2 the BAD in this wave!!! EEEE, bring on 2009!!! I can't wait!

Sweet! This is a brilliant wave. 4 Cantina Aliens, a Sandcrawler droid and Jawa....fantastic! I'll probably complete the set! So it seems this is another astromech BAF wave then? It would be nice if they included some in film astromechs in this wave as theres a whole bunch of unmade astros from Mos Eisley and ANH.

I picked up the Luke and Watto sets tonight and am really quite impressed by these sets so far. The droids are fun, Watto is a nice repaint and I hadn't gotten the original pilot Luke before this, so he's pretty nice to have. Thank god they changed him from the stupid looking grinning prototype. I may have to go back and get some more, the whole BAD thing is pretty tempting.

July huh? Whew, gonna be a long wait for these guys but well worth it. And here i was kinda worried that we'd be getting barely any Cantina creatures this year. Fantastic sounding wave so far, I do hope it ends up being an 8 figure wave and includes that Jawa/ WED Treadwell droid from the rumor list too. That would be brilliant!

Dunno if there's any other Canadian Transformers fans on these boards, but if so, Classics Universe have started showing up at Canadian Wal-Marts. I picked up Prowl and Sunstreaker tonight, both of which are pretty cool!

Bad news for drewlam and I.  Walmarts restocked with Wave 1 yet again.  Sales had slowed considerably of late and I think this might not bode well for us Canadians going forward as these will sit for a while.  I know Drew picked them up at the flea market already and Scott helped me out, so we're both fine.  But I'm wondering about the future waves.  It seems like Mattel has a really poor handle on distribution up here and we saw that with the previous Superman/Batman line.  Getting the same wave of Superman/Bizarro/Supergirl over and over and over again killed it at TRU, I'm guessing getting wave 1 of DSCH over and over and over again will kill this line at Walmarts up here.   :-\  On top of that, because it has been available at major retailers, the comic shops locally haven't touched the line and reasonably so.

I'm thinking I might as well put my order in for wave 3 with Scott right now, because it'll be months if it shows up here, if at all.  The only duplicate figure I already own a version of that I'm happy with is the Robin figure.  Well, I have a really nice Alex Ross Green Lantern as well, but I'm not opposed to a second GL in my collection.  Consistency of scale is such a huge thing and it seems DCSH has got a handle on that, so good for them.

I share you're concerns. My Wal-Mart recently picked up wave 1 for the third time. The first two times it sold quite well, but this time it is moving considerably slower. I'm going to be extremely disappointed if Mattel Canada screws this up due to poor distribution, because initially these figures were selling really well. If they just kept up with proper distribution they'd have a real winner on thier hands.

Well of the Souls / Re: Hasbro 3.75" Deluxe Figures
« on: May 2, 2008, 10:01 PM »
Did anyone buy the Indiana Jones with Temple Trap (ROTLA) deluxe figure.  I pulled mine out and before opening I was looking it over.  It looks like he doesn't have a thumb on his right hand.  That's a wee bit too much of an homage to the vintage line for me.  Anyone else have this problem?

I'm certainly not opening it until I check some other versions at stores.  The pain is this is the only jacketed Indy I could find without moogly eyes.   :-\

Oh and I haven't opened any figures, so I don't know if the mail away promo even exists in Canada.  There's no marking on the packaging and the packaging is trilogo.

I just picked up an Indy and Sallah at a Wal-Mart in New Brunswick and Canada does have the promotion as well, it's written on the back of the card in small print. What I'm wondering is if it matters if you combine tri-lingual stickers with the normal english ones as I'll likely end up with a mix of both.

As for the figures themselves, they're both great! Looks like I've got yet another toy line I've been hooked into.

New Hulk trailer is up! http://www.apple.com/trailers/universal/theincrediblehulk/

Is it just me or did I catch a bit of the "Sad Walking Away" theme at the end of this?

I'm really not much for animated style lines, but I think I'll have to make an exception for that Jazz and Soundwave. They just look neat.
