Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Everything eBay! Scams, questions, etc...

Any chance it is still on its way?  I bought something from China a few months back and it literally took a full month to get to me for some reason.  Guess they are making delivery by rowboat these days.

Every chance it's still on the way.  I don't know Mexico well but I have to imagine that the postal system isn't any better than Canada's.  I mailed it on December 11th, so I'll give the buyer credit for waiting a good while (nearly six weeks) but that doesn't mean it isn't coming.

As for calling ebay, no dice.  Responsibility for tracking is mine, even if I can prove I offered it and it was declined (which I can from the messages).  The tracking is to protect me, without it, the "buyer has no proof I shipped".   :-\

I hate you Rob.

Completely irrationally I'm blaming you for what just happened to me on EBay.  I believe I just got hosed by a Mexican buyer that claims an item never arrived.  I didn't provide tracking because to ship from Canada to Mexico is stupid expensive and the buyer declined.  I decided to be a nice guy and ship to him anyway (I am a fool) and he filed for non-delivery.  Well, without tracking I have no proof and no way will EBay side with me.  Not even going to try and fight this one but two crappy postal systems = disaster for me.  I'm out $50 and no way am I shipping to Mexico ever again.

I don't believe the problem was at the Canadian end either as I shipped seven other auctions out the same day as the one to Mexico and they all arrived.  I know this because (miraculously) I received feedback on all of the other auctions.

Stoopid eBay.  Stupider seller.   >:( :P

I was watching that one as well. MOre than I want to pay.

Wouldn't mind this one either.

That resolves the issue of actually getting one of those.  No way am I paying that kind of coin for that little plastic.  Love the figure but not that much.

Esquire had renowned Scottish actor Brian Cox sit down in an effort to educate Americans about the pronunciations of the names of some of the more renowned Scotch whiskeys.  Check it out here.

Holy crap.  That is what I was logging in to post.

But how else would you know how to pronounce Bruichladdich or Caol Ila?

Listening to Ralfy's vlogs?

And I'd suggest there's some discrepancy with the pronunciation of Caol Ila.  Brian Cox says "Cool Isle-a" but every pronunciation I've heard from others is "cool eela".  So I'm not entirely certain Mr. Cox is absolutely correct.  It's #13 on the list I last posted (which I've both added to and subtracted from since that post) so I purposely went looking for the pronunciation.

I don't think we can schedule a long enough time for an auction draft to be honest.  I'm open to it, but see it as unlikely we get all 12 people on the net at the same time.

Wait, we're not still playing?

Ok, then congrats to What the Deuce? on eeking out a win in classic fantasy football fashion.  Up by a slim margin with the opposition still having Vernon Davis to play, Davis puts up a subpar game (there's something in my eye coach).  Fickle fantasy gods fell another team.

So looking forward to next year, are we using reverse draft order to this year's order of finish or are we going to continue with random draft order as set by Yahoo?

Found a Leader figure the other day at Target.  Only thing I'm now looking for is a Northstar fig.

There needs to be a CG breast implant if she is going to play Wonder Woman. (unless she is going to play one of the wonder twins)

And an ass implant.  Don't get me wrong, I'd give her the greatest 30 seconds of her life, but I don't think she has the body type for WW. Can she beef up?  Sure, but the boobies and butt aren't going to get bigger.

Impressive.  Most impressive.
