I read that this morning as well.  This guy is obviously not a fan ::)

Star Wars Universe / Re: 'Star Wars' in 3-D?

I saw it last night with my sons.  The 3-D was okay but you could definitely tell that it was a 2-D movie that had been converted.  With the exception of the magnet rod that McMetal mentioned already, the only real effect the 3-D added was giving the movie more depth than anything else.  I will still see the others for the novelty of it, and so that my kids can see the movies at the theater, but I'm definitely not going because the 3-D was so spectacular.

The cool thing for me was standing in line for a Star Wars movie again and having my kids experience it.  We got there about 25 minutes before the show and there were at least 30-40 people in front of us.  By the time it started the theater was about 3/4 full.

A step in that direction could lead to hooded maul being re-released without the bike on a card. Or some clone repaints (501st, shocktroopers, etc).
Definately off-topic, but the window is closing on the best opportunity to do some CW figures too. Kit Fisto would be a great kubrick IMO, and I would like to see Ahsoka and Cad Bane as well.

I fully expected to start seeing more prequel and Clone Wars figures this year to coincide with the start of the 3-D re-releases, but it seems as though Medicom aren't heading in that direction.  It's really too bad since there are so many figures that could be done.

I'm definitely in again.  Hopefully I'll be able to make the draft this year.  Got stuck with the autodraft last year and had a pretty mediocre team.

I struck out again with my box from NCS (0-3 for the last three Deluxe releases).  Good luck to the rest of you who ordered from them!

That was one of the sellers I bought a Hoth Rebel from.  He charged me $20 shipping for that single figure.  He ended up shipping it UPS from Ontario to WI.  Unfortunately, the actual shipping amount was not printed on the label, so I can't tell if the shipping was too much or ridiculously too much. :P

Got mine too.  My box should arrive on Thursday.

Instinctoy finally got the other chase in their cases.  They are now referring to the R2-Q5 as a 1/96 figure.  Hopefully this one doesn't end up at 20,000 yen like the other chase did...

The only thing that would have saved that R2 chase would have been if they made it with a clear dome.  However, I'm sure it's just a two legged version of the three legged one we got in the TRU pack like Plasticlab said.

If I was smart, I'd cancel my Bo12 pre-order and just scarf up a set of 6 on the cheap.

Unfortunately, you and I both know that is not going to happen ;)

I'm putting in my vote for the two worst SW chase releases to date.  We already got a black astromech in one of the TRU boxed sets.  Very disappointed by this

I saw an auction this morning no Yahoo Japan that showed the Lackey in the Imperial Dignitary box...  Doesn't seem as though we will be getting our other Dignitary like we thought.

That chase is seriously weak.  Not so sure about rushing to shell out big money for that one...  Several releases ago, that would have been a good 4:12 figure to release.  It's too bad that its now ending up as a 1/48 or 1/96 chsae.

I now have two Hoth Rebel chases on their way.  Anyone need one and willing to buy one of mine?

To me he'll be the rude E-3PO, who insulted C-3PO on Cloud City. ("E chu ta!")       :)

Nice, I just watched TESB with my sons last week.  If there was a way to switch the card artwork from what I'm sure will be from TPM to that of Cloud City, I'd be all over it.

I know it won't happen, but it would be cool if Medicom also include the drink tray and drinks as an accessory to the figure...
