Jeff hooked me up with the 9 book X-Wing series in paperback.  Most of them looked as though they hadn't even been read.  I would have spent probably 4 times as much had I bought them at retail.  Thanks again for the great books and the great price!

If anyone is still looking for McChewie, he's in stock at Hasbroshop.com.

I never got the last release so I'm looking forward to this one.  I agree with Jeff that for $30, this is a good deal.

You would be correct-- these were just random figures I had on my desk and are in no way what you'll get in the set.   (Yes, I have my desk covered in Clones and droids and stuff.)

Dammit Adam!  Quit 'toying' with us!!!  Ok, just kidding.  Here's the ad for anyone who really cares:

I don't know if anyone else got their Insider #95 or not, but on page 6 there's a new ad for this set (haven't seen this one before).  I'm going to assume that like the other ads, the shadows of the figures are not the actual figures we will be getting.  But if they are, it looks like there's an EP3 clone re-paint on the horizon but we will be getting a Jango!  I can't tell from the shot if it's SA or not...

He could have man boobies...   :-\

But then his name would be Phil Mickelson and his weapon would be a 5 Iron...

And Ruiner, since you told me to keep count we are at:

2 new tools
3 repaints

So far, you're closer to being right...

We're wagering a set right?

Ha!  I seem to recall saying that I have nothing to wager at that time...  I really need to make sure that post doesn't get deleted...

I guess we can consider this one of the other re-paints that Adam elluded to earlier.  I was planning on doing a squad of my own black deco Rep Commandos, so this just saves me the work.  I really would have liked to have them SA though...  Oh well, not the end of the world IMO.

Thanks for the 501st Airborne and the fast shipment.  Always a pleasure to buy from you!

Just a heads up, Master Replicas is running their Scavenger Hunt 'Christmas in July' sale today and I've come across the Yoda Force FX lightsaber for $79.99 and the Darth Maul Battle Damaged Force FX lightsaber for $89.99 already.  The add says to check back periodically durinig the day for updates.  Might be worth it for people who have been waiting to buy some MR items...

Great purchase!

The nice thing that I've found is that most of SFBK's items are less than retail and comparable to Amazon.  I refuse to buy books from Borders or Waldenbooks because they are always 10%-20% or more higher than on-line.

Good luck in getting the rest of the hardcovers you're looking for!  I'll try not to get in a bidding war with you on ebay for the rare ones!

PM replied!

Yes you can join SFBK to avoid this, however if the books are only released in the 2-in-1 or 3-in-1 omnibus hard cover versions, you're going to have to wait until the second or third books in the series are released and they 'create' the combined hardcovers.  I can tell you right now that they still have the 'Republic Commando' Duology available and the 'Dark Nest' 3-in-1 available at SFBC.  They also have the three Legacy of the Force novels that weren't released in mass market hard cover (Bloodlines, Exile, and Tempest).

I'm waiting until I move into my new place to join SFBK, but I plan on getting all 5 Legacy of the Force novels and the Dark Nest 3-in-1 for the low low price of $19 for the 6 books and avoid getting bent over on ebay for these h/c releases in the future...

I just wish I would have known all this back when the NJO novels were all still available!

Rob,

I'm in the same boat as you.  I just started to buy them and am running into problems with NJO.  All but 4 of the NJO books were released in paperback or were only Sci-Fi Book Club 2-in-1 or 3-in-1 Omnibus hard covers.  The very rare exceptions to this are Traitor, Dark Journey, and The Final Prophecy.  Those were only SFBK hard cover single book editions.  Those are the ones I've seen sell for >$75 on ebay.

There are also issues with some of the Republic Era, Empire Era, and New Republic Era novels.  Almost all of the 3 book series (Jedi Academy, Black Fleet Crisis, Bounty Hunter Wars, etc) were only released in 3-in-1 Omnibus hard covers.  Otherwise you're stuck with only getting them in paperback.  Some of those hard covers are easier to come by, but there are the exceptions too.

I have a fairly extensive and accurate list of all of the novels released.  If you want, shoot me a PM and I can send it to you.
