Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Question for the married folks
« on: May 27, 2003, 01:49 PM »
I'm in Chris's boat as my wife does the finances and sees all the CC charges.  We each get $150 a week "allowance" (minus $30 for groceries, so its actually $120) to spend anyway we feel.  After gas, lunches, golf, comics, dinners, etc., I'm not left with much money to spend on toys anyway.  Add to the fact that, I've not seen a late 2002 or 2003 figure in stores besides Obi Acklay and Tyranus, all my ordering is now on-line.  Since the wife will see the charges anyway, there really is no need to sneak anything into the house.  And if a large charge is going to be on the statement (ie, a new case from newforce or large shipment from kebco), I'll always tell her first anyways and always pay it back from my allowance (maybe not in one fell swoop, but in payment "plans"), so everything works out in the end.

Since this question has gone unanswered for awhile, I'll give the answer:

The code given by Lando to inform all Cloud City residents to fight against the Imperials was Force-7

As I don't have another question, its open to anyone who wants to ask one.

I'm pretty sure I do.  I have so many Star Wars books that its hard to keep track of them.

LEGO / Re: Hailfire Droid: System or Technic?
« on: May 16, 2003, 11:17 AM »
Definitely a technic set.  It's way out of scale with comparable system sets.  I believe its about the same size as the AT-TE is lengthwise.  They would look so out of place next to each other.

I have all the regular Star Wars system sets and will most definitely be adding this one.

Yep, my future Geonosian battle wouldn't be complete without at least one.  And they'll go nicely with my pre-ordered deluxe spider droid, AAT, hailfire droid and geonosian fighter.

[Stands up]

Hi, I'm Mikey D and I'm a Star Wars geek

The wife tolerates it and my immediate family knows (most, however, were surprised at how much I had when they came up for my wedding and I showed them.  And 95% of it is packed away in a closet.  All I did was slide the door open and their jaws dropped).  Most of my friends know but don't probably know the extent of it.  My co-workers know as I get my on-line orders delivered to work and have a few figures on my desk.

Now, if you saw me walking down the street, would you know I'm a fanatic.  Probably not.  I only wore the few T-shirts I own to opening nights of TPM and AOTC.  Its not that I'm trying to hide my hobby, I really feel Star Wars T-shirts is not appropriate dress apparel.  I don't know why I feel that way as I'll tell anyone who asks about my hobby and will be proud to show it off any chance I'll get, by T-shirts is a no no IMO.

Any you know the weird part, I won't wear a T-shirt but I will get a tatoo.  Think about that for a minute  :P

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: What's Your Ethnicity?
« on: May 15, 2003, 03:17 PM »
Mostly Scot-Irish with some Polish in me.

The wife is mostly English.  In fact her uncle is so pro English that I'm sure he doesn't really care for me because of my heritage.  We're talking about a guy who sent a condolence to the Queen Mother's family when she passed (which I can see if you were a citizen of that country, but being at least three generations removed, its a little extreme)  It probably irks him to no end that his niece married a guy who's heritage comes from countries England's had problems with (albeit, hundreds of years ago)  ::)

Thanks for the link, Dale.  I looked for an "official" confirmation but couldn't find one.

That was how he gave the code, but it had an actual name.

This is one of those questions that borders on EU.

I just heard on the radio that Robert Stack, longtime host of Unsolved Mysteries and the voice of Ultra Magnus in Transformers:The Movie has passed away at the age of 84.

He will be missed

RIP, Mr. Stack

The new Medal of Honor: Rising Sun looks amazing as well.  The first MOH set in the Pacific theater should be awesome.  I own all the MOH for PS and PS2 and this one looks to be no different.

Spy Hunter 2 also looks like a good one.

As a huge fan of the original Ghost and Goblins and being really amazed by the original Maximo for PS2, Maximo 2 is going to be a must buy for me:
