The Original Trilogy / Re: found a massive flaw in ROTJ
« on: March 13, 2007, 02:34 AM »
"Massive flaw?"

LOL - that's what I thought.  Is it clearly explained somewhere that Vader's armor was preventing him from using force lightning?  I thought I read somewhere that Palpy was holding off on teaching vader some of his tricks, this one included, because it was the temptation of learning more that kept Vader in line.  If you teach a sith apprentice everything, he's likely to kill his master and take over - that's their whole spiel.

Scored the following today:

Saesee Tiin Fighter
2 Tantiv IV Battle Packs
4 new Galactic Hero sets
Full case of TAC Wave 1

Tomorrow I'm looking to score a low refinancing rate or second loan option on my house.   :P  ;D

Look at it this way, what other BP's are on the way? Unless the BP line is going away, they're have to put something on the shelves so one would think they'll get stocked eventually.

Exactly.  They are also shipping 2 per case with 1 each of the repack figs, so they'll probably be pegwarming before long.  I was going to pick up a bunch of these bcause I love this part of the movie, but I already have a bunch of RFT's and vaders, so $20 for two stormies is a bit rich for my blood.   :-\

Well, with three more episodes to go, I'm sure something's going to happen by the last one. :P

So your prediction is too more yawners before something big?  ;)

Any speculation on who any of the final five are?  I'm betting on Starbuck at this point...

Hall of Justice / Re: DC Superheroes

We were picking up some groceries quick at WM this weekend, and although there was nothing new for SW (darn Tantive BP), they did have a couple of Monguls on the pegs, so I picked one up.  Pretty nice figure overall.  Its too bad, it seems like this line has some nice, well-made figures in it, hopefully Mattel can keep it going and not turn it into another MOTU disaster with shipping/case pack problems.

Has anyone found Supergirl from this wave yet?  I've seen lots of Purple carded figs, but no Kara.  :'(

Wizard has "press photos" of ML Series 3 up, as well as some other upcoming stuff (Silver Wolverine, Clear Emma, and future SuperHero Squad).

Thanks for sharing.  I'm a little more impressed with these press photos, but still not sure if I'm going to get any of them.  Maybe just the black knight.   :-\

Vintage Kenner / Re: Latest vintage acquisition

Just got a short mouthed v. Biker Scout to add to the vintage display.  Now I just need to find a reasonable price on a Blue Snaggletoof.  :o

Another so-so episode for me tonight.  The new lawyer guy seems like an interesting new character - obviously playing a lot of angles.  Starting to feel my interest slip though without any cylons/fighting.   :-\

That may explain why at least one of my local Targets has 100+ cases of TAC figs in the back...

Holy crap - which Target is that!?  :P

Still haven't seen this set.   :-\

Same here.  Luckily Ackbar is saving me one!  ;)

I swear it was like 50 degrees in MN today.  Snow melted, sun was shining - my wife even turned on the air conditioning on the way home from the store!  ::)

I'll pass.  This is going to be like $15-20 for one of the cheapest figures Hasbro can make.  :P

No new figs, but I did get another TAC TIE Fighter.  Way better than the old POTF2 ones (especially being white and all).

Yeah, but they're giving us these cool coins that must have cost nearly $.05 to make... :P
