Have you guys seen the list of rumored "Bounty Hunt" figures going around?

Apparently an e-tailer, ToyWiz (which is somehow related to ToyFare/Wizard), says that these are the "Bounty Hunt" figures and they are even letting you pre-order them for only $20 each.

Anyway, this new rumor says that the "Bounty Hunt" figures are nothing more than paint variants to the basic figures - things like an ESB deco Fett, Mygeeto Clone Snowtrooper, Alternate Republic Commando, etc etc.

Anyway, this is nothing more than ANOTHER rumor about these, so don't get too worked up about them yet...  but I'm right there in the "This Bounty Hunt idea SUCKS" column for now. 


It's interesting to me that right now there are THREE theories out there (new vOTC = Bounty Hunt; PoP Mail-Away = Bounty Hunt; or Paint Variants = Bounty Hunt) and not a single one has any sort of way to back up their report. 

I guess we will most likely have to wait until Toy Fair in February before Hasbro spills the beans on this "Bounty Hunt" nonsense...

Please, please, please, please do not start adding "chase" figures to this line.

3.75" figure exclusives are bad enough, but "chase" figures will kill this line...

Why would they want to close the Woodbury MN store???  Haven't been there in awhile, but they always "seemed" busy..

Probably because they have the WORST customer service of any store I've EVER been to... 

I have so many "exclusive stuff leaked out the back door" stories about that place.  I witnessed a guy paying a stockboy $20 to get stuff early (Silver R2, Silver Clone) and my complaints and letters to the manager/regional manager basically went unanswered.

I won't miss that crappy place one bit.  Good riddance!

I don't know if posting this is against the rules or not but I'll give it a try.

This is a forum for showcasing your customizing skills... if you stray from Star Wars once in a while, no one will care.   

I like the paint scheme, but he needs a good staff or shiv or something to finish him off... maybe a helmet to go with it (just for him to hold, not necessarily to wear).

this has nothing to do with anything CC, but I thought I'd let you know since you asked CHEWIE about his Gonk...

I need to make a gonk droid. I've got like six of this puppies laying around. I like the stuff on top of him. How to you make his legs stay together? Mine won't stand straight like that.

On my Gonk droids, I use those little clear plastic rubber bands on the legs; you know, the rubber bands that Hasbro uses to keep weapons in figures hands. 

The rubber band is clear and it blends into the gonk's leg so you can't see it there.  Presto!  A Gonk droid whose legs are together and stands nicely on your shelf... 

I need a goalie if someone has one available.

I've got 5 goalies (Hasek, Giguere, Nabokov, Fernandez, Lehtonen) maybe I can help you out... 

As for different case assortments, I like it.  It can help keep certain figures from building up in excess quantities and helps keep a more consistent assortment overall.  Better than getting one assortment with 7 different figures in it, that's for sure.  But they are probably overdoing it with the Vaders.

I don't know about the multi-assortments.  I hate the idea that my local Target will get in 2-3 of case X only to find out that it has only 8/9 of the new wave.  That means I STILL have to keep running around to track down that one last figure.  What a pain...

I guess I'm just lazy, but I'd prefer that the majority of the cases they offer to the store actually have ALL of the new figures from a wave instead of only 90%.   


Don't even get me started on this "Bounty Hunt" nonsense...  anyway they try to spin it, it's going to suck. 

People are trying to say that these are the vOTC-esque figures (like Brian mentioned) - X-Wing Luke, Tusken, Endor Han, Scout Trooper, Greedo - but that will suck ass if it's true.  so many questions, my brain hurts...

If the vOTC are being inserted "randomly" into cases, why?  How?  1x per case, per figure? 

I keep thinking of the nightmare scenario where I have to track down TEN different cases because each case only has one bounty hunt figure and I need to find a carded and loose for all five figures...       

this is just getting ridiculous... 2 more case variants showing up...

So, the Fire Pilot is only 1per case in 3 of the 4 Wave 4 cases...  and in those same 4 cases, each one has 2x Darth Vader #13.   

Yeah, 3 Coruscant Fire Pilot for every 8 Darth Vaders... not counting all the Vaders released in the Hoth wave... and the Geonosis wave... and the Tatooine wave... 

edit: to counteract all my negativity, I should point out that the 3 of the 4 cases do have 2x Clone Trooper (Utapau) so I guess it's not all bad...
