Dubnyk, 41 saves on 42 shots; first Wild regulation win in STL since 2007.

With the Wild, since Jan 15 (MY BIRTHDAY!)
20-5-1  --  1.66 GAA  -- .939 SV%

Hot goalies steal cups all the time, this might be it for the Wild.

Damn you for planting this seed...  but oh, the joy if... I can't even say it.   :-X :-\

It'll be a busy start to 2017 for sure - Disney has 3 big sequels in a six week span...

05-05-2017 - Guardians of the Galaxy 2
05-26-2017 - Episode 8
06-16-2017 - Toy Story 4

Got my Legends Bespin Han today.  The Kenner nostalgia of these 5POA figs is much more effective onme for a figure like this where the Kenner version was in my top five favorites as a kid. :)

The fact that they are now trying to work functional holsters onto the figures is greatly appreciated.  Makes me wish even more that the Mission Series ANH Han had been given a holster. :-\

Will spinoffs have a series all their own, like how Iron Man is his own series?  I'm wondering if they'll go that route or one-and-done type deals.

The original plan I thought I read was to just do random, one-off movies.  But, like everything else, if they stumble onto something that makes a bajilion dollars, I could see them making a "Rogue One 2". :P

You bring up an interesting point about potential for figures...  Whatever they make, it'll be a pretty short run.  There's a really small window for any retail line if the Episode 8 stuff will be hitting in March/April 2017.

I think I saw Jayson joking on Twitter about how Hasbro is taking/planning for all these movies...  assuming they need a buffer in-between to clear out retail to make room for the next line, could we see something like:

Ep7 toy line = September 2015 - July 2016
Rogue One toy line = September 2016 - February 2017
Ep8 toy line = April 2017 - whenever the next stand-alone comes along

And people still think there will be a lot of room at retail for large PT/OT figure lines and Rebels and whatever else...?  How this is all going to work is still the most curious part for me, aside from the scales and the prices.

Stand Alone #1 Update from LFL

"Rogue One is the title for the first film in a unique series of big-screen adventures that explores the characters and events beyond the core Star Wars saga. Rogue One will be directed by Gareth Edwards (Monsters, Godzilla) and written by Oscar nominee Chris Weitz (Cinderella, About a Boy, Antz). The first actress cast is Felicity Jones, who garnered an Academy Award nomination and critical acclaim for her performance in The Theory of Everything. The idea for the story of Rogue One came from John Knoll, an Academy Award-winning visual effects supervisor and chief creative officer at Industrial Light & Magic. He will executive produce along with Simon Emanuel (The Dark Knight Rises, Fast & Furious 6) and Jason McGatlin (Tintin, War of the Worlds). Kathleen Kennedy and Tony To (Band of Brothers, The Pacific) are on board to produce and John Swartz (Star Wars: The Force Awakens) will co-produce. The film starts shooting this summer in London and is due for release on December 16, 2016."

Episode 8 Update:

"Iger confirmed that Rian Johnson will write and direct Star Wars: Episode VIII. The film, which continues the saga after the events of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, is set for release on May 26, 2017 — forty years and a day after the release of Star Wars: A New Hope in 1977. Johnson is widely considered one of cinema’s most gifted young filmmakers, having directed the modern sci-fi classic, Looper, as well as Brick and The Brothers Bloom. He was also behind the camera for three episodes of the critically-acclaimed TV series Breaking Bad, including “Ozymandias,” which series creator Vince Gilligan named as the best installment of the show. Kathleen Kennedy and Ram Bergman, producer of Looper, Don Jon, Brick, and The Brothers Bloom, are on board to produce."

Blech, our goaltending sucks goat balls.

I caught the replay of that gift Jackman got... just sad to battle back and then watch your goalie cough it up like that.  That kinda thing tore us up, with the Wild watching Backs/Kemps give up softies to ruin good efforts. :(

If the Blackhawks can't get their **** together, there's a real chance you guys could catch them and end up with the Blues instead of the Preds.
And yes, I'm hoping for a Hawks tumble.  We'll see better in about two weeks where we stand as everyone will have played out their games in hand by that point.   As it is, that makes me nervous.

Well, looks like we have a bit of that Hawks tumble, but it may be us hunting them and not you guys...

NSH - 91pts (14 games left)
STL - 89pts (16 games left)
CHI - 84pts (16 games left)
MIN - 81pts (15 games left)
WIN - 78pts (15 games left)

Sure is going to be an interesting finish in the central as everyone has games left against each other.   And then you have the Kings/Flames battling for that 3rd spot in the Pacific or the last Wild Card too.

A bunch of the Wave 6/7 Saga LEgends figures have been popping up on for $8.99 each.

As of this post, X-Wing Luke, Skiff Lando, Endor Han are all in stock at the $8.99 price...

1/12 Scale R2-D2 and R5-D4 Plastic Model Update

The R2/R5 Astromech set should be shipping at the end of this month...

I've managed free shipping with EE, so I'm sticking with my orders there when they put up their pre-orders.

Here you go -

- Acid Rain Laurel (Marine)
- Buck Team: Jack
- Bucks Team: King
- Bucks Team: - Argus

Figures are $1 more than BBTS prices.

Laurel is $5 more than BBTS... but you get free shipping so it's a better deal unless you buy a lot at BBTS and have a large enough pile o' loot. ;)

For those keeping track, in the last two weeks, Wave 1 started hitting Walmart, Wave 2 is hitting Target, and now Wave 3 is IN-STOCK at EE...

Case of 12

Set of 6

Also saw some reports of them popping up (on the expensive side) at Amazon as well.

Are the floodgates finally opening?

Premium Format Darth Vader, Lord of the Sith figure.

Amazing... might be one of the best they've done.  Sometimes I wish I was buying these.  Then I see the $500 price tag and remember why I'm not buying them.  :-X
