They potentially have a "Prairie Wife" and a "School Marm" slotted into one of the upcoming waves.  Also, I think I saw something about a shopkeeper's wife/widow type figure too.

Lady Gunfighters/Cowgirls are probably further down the list it sounds like since anything they make has to be usable across 2 or more different figure types...

Seems at least to me the NERF thing is removable.

Guy in the rebelscum forums posted some back of the box shots - looks like the NERF cannon on this one is non-removable and non-retractable...   :-\

Also looks like a single seat cockpit, despite how long the 'tube' is.

A Rebelscum forum member posted some shots of the back of the box.

Looks like it confirms non-removable (but retractible) NERF cannon, single-seat cockpit, and no room for troops on bottom (thanks to the NERF).

Also, between that horrible 2-pack Poe and the paint job on Cassian here, it's sure looking like Hasbro is using a new factory for Rogue One stuff.  New factories ALWAYS mess up the eyes until they work out the kinks (I'm looking at you, Indiana Jones toyline, which used a first time factory and had horrible eye deco on wave 1/2).

Could be either - BBTS has been known to buy at retail and then scalp resell, but they have also had some luck ordering stuff through asian wholesalers (like when they offered the Japan sticker Black Series 6" SDCC excluisves in the past).  Could be they got a hold of some overseas cases and are breaking into sets and selling.

This is supposed to be Poe?

I'm willing to overlook a lot when it comes to Hasbro 3.75" these days (price, articulation, distribution, etc), but that is one of the worst face paint ap/deco jobs I've seen on a 3.75" figure since the horrible eyes on the first wave of Indiana Jones figures.

If they all look that bad at retail, I will be happy to skip the FO-Snow variant and "blink and you miss him" Poe 2-pack.

The Rogue One goofy monster/alien sets look pretty soild though.  No idea what the heck that Yeti guy is supposed to be, but he looks kinda cool.

There's something out there...  lots of rumors swirling about a potential "big" item hitting stores this fall.  Here's the bullet from our pal Jayson @Yak_face -

Think it's an X-Wing to go with that TFA TIE?  Or an OT X-Wing?  Or maybe something smaller, but still larger than a speeder bike?

Ooh, I like this one better than the U-Wing.  Probably easier to cheat the scale on a smaller wing TIE like this one.  Plus 5POA Pilot doesn't bother me since I already have lots of SA TIE Pilots.

Guessing this TIE will still sadly be $40 like the TFA TIE was. Price of doing business I guess. Hopefully there will be some Target coupons or sales to help take the sting out.

Don't want the whole case?  Pre-order Hux and Asty singles now at EE -

First Order General Hux - $21.99, September arrival

X-Wing Pilot Asty - $21.99, September arrival

I'm thinking they probably didn't get confused by early art/pics as the Lego version appears to be accurate to the production ship.

Maybe.  LEGO's production/development time is a lot shorter than Hasbro's though.  Not as many new parts to spec out and majority of their manufacturing is controlled by them.

Eh, no matter what, we all knew it was going to be way underscaled anyway.  Especially with the AT-ACT already occupying the "big thing" slot for 2016.

Wow, yeah that looks really underscaled (not that that's a surprise these days).  Maybe they designed it based off pictures without really knowing it was a troop carrier...  reminds me of how undersized the Sith Infiltrator was kinda.

Maybe I'll just pretend there are different versions of this thing, kinda the same way there were Republic Gunship variants for different purposes - troop transport, cargo transport, etc.  This one can be the "solo pilot" bomber type thing #collectorrationalizing

I'll probably end up buying it eventually (since there probably won't be too many other vehicles if things play out like TFA did), but I'll probably wait for a decent discount/sale.

From EW:
Deleted Scenes – While there were a handful of deleted footage on the original Blu-ray, this one promises even more “never-before-shared” scenes.

Does this mean Zuvio finally gets his due?!?  We can only hope...

It's a tough environment for sure, but I'm not sure much can be done about it.  All these big companies have goals to increase margin percentages (vs. overall profit).  I know they fall back on rising production costs, and I'm sure those are increasing, but what they don't talk about is their internal need to make higher percentages on new items as well.  Margin percent growth is typically tied to senior leader compensation and is highly valued by Wall Street Analysts for stock price growth, so most big companies tend to focus on growing the margin percent versus the overall profit.

For example, let's say a figure used to cost Hasbro $5 to make.  If they made a 50% margin, they would sell to retail for $7.50 and if retail sells at a 50% margin, our cost was $11.25.

Now let's say that same figure costs $7 for Hasbro.  We don't just see the price go to $13.25.  Hasbro's margin target has maybe moved to 75%, so they sell to retailers at $12.50.  Retailers want higher margins as well, so if they also have a 75% mark up, now our price is $21.40.

We're paying $10 more per figure in this example, but the cost is only 20% of the increase.  The rest is all higher margins demands.   :-[  Even if they could get lower production costs, they're not going to move backwards on their margins.

QFT.  Internal margin% increase was a HUGE factor in why they moved to 5POA for Star Wars, despite all the "kids like it better" nonsense.   :-\

Is there anything different about the Sandtrooper and TIE Pilot than what we already have?
